Title: Roller weight and size
Post by: agilebda on January 13, 2014, 04:06:10 PM
Does anyone know the stock weight and size of rollers for the GTI 300?
I heard that they were 20*12 and 16g. I just want to check with you all before I move forward.

Regards

My 2012 GTI300 had  20x12x15gr rollers from the factory. I put in 14gr Dr Pulley sliders and I'm very happy with them.

Thanks guys. I figured that it was 15gr.

The reason why I'm asking is because I have Dr. Pulley 15g sliders and also a Malossi rear clutch. This gave me lots of top end with lots of RPM and torque.
I was just thinking about increasing my slider/roller weight to 16gr in order to eliminate the excessive rpm.

Dr Pulley rollers give the effect of a gear ratio change. Reducing the torque on the lower end.

What are your thoughts?

I have run both 14 and 15g sliders with the factory clutch. My feeling has been the 14's give better off the line and mid range punch than the 15's without much difference at the top end.(Kymco a tach would be nice!) I would think that the 16g sliders would be slower off the line. Just a thought not a sermon :)
