Title: transmission vibration

Hi, I have a 2004 people 125 (couldn't find a people125 forum) when it is cold when I pull away there is a vibration on the transmission and it snatches quite violently, it seems to get better when the scooter has warmed up. Does anyone know what this could be and how difficult it would be to fix. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Remove the CVT cover and observe if the variator and clutch are working properly . . video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTKUy-8Ne68).

Try this. Squeeze both brakes so the scooter won't go anywhere. Then rev the engine and let everything slip for 15 seconds or so.

This is only a short term fix. Your clutch pads are probably glazed.
The only fix for me was to remove the clutch and use sand paper to roughen up the pads.
No vibrations after that for some time, then had to repeat the process.
