Start following the links after speed test, and it shows you how to optimize your computer settings. I don't know much about the settings to do this on my own, but this tutorial is easy to follow, and free of the B.S. of selling you something or adding other programs that are "supposed" to do it for you. I found i had to turn off all my anti virus stuff to get the settings to stay (another but) you can set everything while you are OFF line, so no worries. This really made my day to finally get the speed I am paying for. Hope it helps someone else...   Zombie
