had trouble starting scooter. took to dealer for 3100 mile service. replaced spark plug, air filter, fuel filter, cleaned carbuter, changer oil and gear oil. was getting average 80 miles per gallon. after service getting 67 mpg and dropping, getting now 59 mpg. dealer said kymco rep told him scooter is getting old and tires wearing. hard to belief. any ideas?

check your tire pressure . Good luck .

Tire pressure is good.

A quick compression check will tell you something. Also check your belt, and rollers. Any of these will give the symptom's you have.

milage per gallon was fine before i brought it in. could it be the carbuter nee adjustment.
-
Perhaps a stuck choke. It could be PART way open, but I'm sure you would notice poor performance as well. The only adjustment you have affects idle mix, and rpm's. Neither would reduce mileage. If the rollers or belt are worm you will not get to the top of your gear ratio, affecting mileage. Just a thought

Scooter runs great, only having low gas mpg. I will have the check the choke.
