Title: Split the 50's apart, please!
Post by: JJJoseph on December 27, 2013, 09:50:33 AM
Is it possible to separate the 50cc 2-strokes from the 4-strokes in the discussions?  There's no way to tell what kind of scoot is the topic if you're listing scooters by name.  I have no idea what powers a Kymco Like or a Kymco Vitality since I've never seen nor heard of either.  My Kymco Sento isn't even listed.  If the 4-stroke 50's were in the same discussion topic, I could join in without digging through countless messages trying to figure out what's the motive unit.

For some Kymco models (like the "Like") you can choose between 2-stroke 50cc and 4-stroke 50cc.

Well, sure, but we both know it doesn't happen.  How much effort would it take to separate the 2-strokes from the 4 strokes?

You can ask people to be specific. You can always spend one minute on google and see all the info you'll need.

Most Scooters legally sold in the U.S. these days are usually 4 cycle and the forum is more U.S. Based.
On the other hand,  it has a worldwide participation.  Therefore a model offered in the U.S. May either be slightly different with the same name or have a different name.  (Grand Dink / Grandvista).  I'm sure the Moderators have tried to be sensitive to these situations.  Every individual's comments and questions are a learning experience.

In other words, we can't separate the 2-strokes from the 4-strokes because we're really "sensitive" new-age people?
