That is not good. Where is it on the engine, trans???
I had major cracks on my Super 9 frame/engine and Kymco replaced the engine / trans unit (bad casting). Take it back to the dealer right now!

Mantis, for what it's worth, Kymco issued a recall on the 2004 Super 9 that I never got. The cracks led to a catastrophic failure of the rear engine/trans casing while I was going downhill on a bridge at 40+mph. I slowed the scoot down and walked it home with the rear wheel 6" off center.
Kymco replaced the engine/trans even though the Super 9 was a few years out of warrantee . Be careful and take it in ASAP.

The dealer gave it light sanding and things look good. They think it was flaw in the casting do to sand. They say they had seen it before. Just keep a eye on it. The dealer said not to sweat it that Kymco is great honoring their warranty if anything goes wrong.
