Title: People 300GTi vs DT300i
Post by: moparkid on December 24, 2013, 02:08:59 AM
Does anyone know whether or not the People GT 300i and the DT 300i uses the same engine/drivetrain config?

And as I have had to order a few replacement parts, I noticed there were two different models listed; the SK60AD and the SK60AH. I dont know the difference or how to tell or where to look to find out. Found nothing in the manual.

One last question. I just flipped the odometer past 7500 miles on my DT(bought new in May). Would I know from feel whether or not my belt and rollers need replacing or should you just do it and have peace of mind?

the two scooters have the same engines, same oil filter , different air filter,    and the two numbers are age of scooters, I think the new model is 2010 or 2011,  very little difference in models, small change in variator size,  I got one of those, and the inside is bigger, but were the rollers are it is the same, might be different in the slope of the slide of the rollers,

Moparkid, I have a 2012 Gti and have turned over 29k in 18 months. Both belts ran 14 k but the last belt looked rough. I will change at 13k next time. Go with 14 g sliders as they improve performance over stock rollers.(20x12 if I remember correctly). Several threads on sliders. Rollers at 14k had zero wear. Last belt I started sensing it was worn at about 12.5 k. I think you can wait a bit before changing. 8)
