Title: Need to derestrict Kymco Yup 50 2004
Post by: 2004_Yup50 on December 17, 2013, 03:25:50 AM
Hey. I know this is entirely a topic, however, I recently bought a Kymco YUP50 2004.
This scooter will fit my needs to get to and from work but not nearly fast enough.
Don't me wrong, I love the scooter so much and its a joy to ride. Its my first scooter and its pretty roughed up. I bought it for about 350USD. I need someones help in finding the CDI box and derestricting it

And here is a picture of a green wire coming out. Any tips on how to derestrict it?

Once you figure it out, modify your variator too for more speed. I've posted a guide in the zx50 area
