Title: tire crack
Post by: jmccoach on August 19, 2009, 01:44:26 PM
Anyone see this on any other scooter tires?

This morning I noticed on my front tire a 2 inch hairline crack on the surface that meets the road. No gouges or marks, just a fine non-straight line. You have to use two fingers to be able to pull it apart to see it better. Looks to be about a 1/10 of an inch deep. Anyone else see this problem?

2009 Super 8 150 ridden since May 2009 regular with 2,000 miles on the odometer.

Yepp, a friend had this on his Beverly 500 rear tire. And after x000km on the new tire again. But I don't remember the tire brand.
He changed his scoot anyway.

There  are  some on  this  board that  will  tell  you  its  fine  to  ride  on it..Maybe  even  wrap  it  in  duct  tape  ::)...Take the bike to your  dealer  and  if  it  isnt  a  road  hazard  it  will  be replaced  under warranty...

I dropped the scoot off at the dealer last night. I'll let you know what they tell me.

Dealer said no problem. Oh well, I'll ride it until it wears out.
