Title: How much "gunk" should be coming out of my exhaust?
Post by: 245luigi on November 18, 2013, 10:09:22 PM
After about 400 km (248 mi) this is what my exhaust looks like:

Is this normal?? Im referring to the residue that has come out of it and deposited on the expansion chamber

Depends on several factors... combustion temperature, oil/fuel mix ratio, jetting, spark plug...

Seem like something I should do more research in then. Anybody know of any resources?

FYI Im on stock br8hsa plug, stock oil mix (meaning I havent played with the pump settings at all), 88MJ and no idea as to my combustion temps

Factory/stock fuel mix is ok... you need the lubrication... the idea is to burn all the oil in the combustion chamber so no oil goes out the pipe...
