Title: Is there a trick to getting the oil filter cover off?

I assume the cylindrical shape under the dipstick is the filter housing. I can't seem to get the cover to loosen. Am I doing something wrong? The manual never mentions a filter....

nope just get the right size socket turn counter clockwise n there she be
