For months i have been looking for better rear end safety lighting for my dark city rides to work (brake like modulators, flashers, bike blinkers, big LED brake bulbs, running light turn signal adapters, etc.)
I think I like these Bestem top cases with the LEDs and a brake light.
Has anyone installed one on their KYMCO?

I have one on mine. Here is the thread with pics. I love it, nice and big. I got the liner too.

I have a similar case and added my own lights. I posted about it here http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=7855.msg86693#msg86693 (http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=7855.msg86693#msg86693)
They really help the visibility and weren't that hard to hook up. I ordered the lights from superbrightleds.com.

Cosmo you can order just the lights and add them on if yoou want.

I've got one mounted on the People, but it only has the smaller brake light towards the top (not the wrap-around LEDs). The only very minor problem I had was that they shipped it with the mounting hardware loose inside the top box, which in turn broke the wiring clips inside the box. After a short e-mail to Bestem, they had new clips on their way, so they did follow up well.
I also added couple of rubber small bumpers on the front mounting channel to keep it from rattling, but that's not really necessary. Other than that the mount, install, and has been stable on the bike.
One thing is that it doesn't look all that weather-proof. So if you're planning to ride around the Ohio countryside in mid-winter with this, you may need to figure out a way to add weather strip or pack the things inside within a plastic bag to keep it dry.

The liner is a worthwhile option.

Thanks you guys! Some great pix and info!
I will be looking into getting one.......
(cures that itch to do SOMEthing with my scoot when not riding --- yeah, I'm still in that new owner phase)
The high Tue is going to be 35, snow in the forecast.
Poop.

Took some measurements.....this Bestem box will be 6 inches wider than my stock Kymco box.
That is goofy big......but, it will give my scoot more presence on the road, day or night, to the traffic around me. (I read somewhere that big Vespas get more road respect than little Genuine Buddies.)
I do wish the Bestem wasn't quite so big - I'm sure not going to fill it with canned goods and go play "Rendezvous" --- I will be teats up in no time (that's a farming term, you know...) if I try that.
As big and goofy as it will look on my small LIKE - I think the lights will make me OK with it.
Probably

You're from farm country? Fill it with chicken grit.
