The wife and I were at Road Atlanta recently, and that's a big damned track. My buddy had a 50cc scooter and we enjoyed getting around on it. So we decided to look for one. I found an '07 with 2000 miles on it paid $500 for it. Prestine condition, garage kept, not a scratch on it. Runs like a charm. (I didn't expect him to take the 5 bills, but he did) Anyway, I know why I bought one, how about the rest of you? I'm just curious.
I use mine...
1) To get around the tracks I go to.
2) To go to the mailbox (we live on a ranch), it's more fun than the 4 wheeler.
3) To chase the cats and dogs with it.

...i've put 33,000 kilometers on my '08 that I bought new in December of '07...
..guess that just about says it all...lol..

Actually, I use mine for 100% of my transportation needs. I live in Nashville, decided the insurance companies and oil companies were making WAY more money from me than I cared, and I took the plunge in November, 2006. Haven't looked back.

That's incredible using that little bugger as your all around transporation. I wish I could do that. LOL

I was born in Yonkers, raised in the Hampton's, and now live in the N.W. swamp land of Florida. I agree w/ P! there is too much abuse of the consumer!!! I try to be as responsible as I can in my life, so I feel MY scoot'in helps! Look at other countries! Every motor vehicle I have owned, I tried to improve both mileage, and emissions. The first mini bike I owned I paid .35 a gallon. Today I am looking for the same!!!

I use mine as my only form of transportation, besides my many bicycles! Have been for the past 14 months now! I guess you could say I use it for fun as well, when the weather is nice! Thanks to the NCDOC for introducing me! ;D

I live in Ann Arbor Michigan which was rated #3 in the country to be "carless" in and even better to be scootin in. I sold my car for the summer and got this to save some money and buy a newer nicer car, I just started working at a car dealership, so plans are comin together pretty well. Best $2,000 I ever spent, tons of fun and practical!

Purchased a People S 125 new in 08. I live in Saskatoon Sask. Canada. Get in about 5 or 6 months of riding a year. Use it for every thing in the summer months and the truck in winter. I do about 100K a day going to work. Currently have 15,500 Km on it.
