I installed a tach on mine

I cut a hole in the light side of the headset, right above the starter. Prior I test fitted and master cylinder is not in the way. There is a perfect amount of space behind this spot to hold the tach.

Close up. Edges arent the straightest. Thats what I get for buying a $10 "dremel" from harbor freight, Dont buy one
Im looking to seal/waterproof the tiny gap where the tach and headset meet. Preferably a black sealer; any suggestions?

So today I installed the the rear headset cover and hard wired in the tach. I had to removed the front leg cover panel (Only the side with the kymco badge). I tell you what these panels fit like a glove and realllly suck to take apart and put back together but alas it had to be done. I ran the wire through the headset neck and essentially followed the throttle cable. The ground lead it attached to the front right seat bucket bolt and the rpm input is wrapped around the spark plug wire and zip tied to keep in place.
Prior to putting the headset back together I applied black silicon sealant between the gap of the headset and tachometer.

I installed mine here.
Used 3M Red tape so it can be removed with no marks or holes in my scooter (LIKE 200i)
I look at it at certain speeds to see what the engine is doing.
Check idle, etc.

My favorite part is watching the idle change while the bystarter is working/changing temperature
