i need to replace rear tire. the current tire shows the following:
120/80-14 m/c 58r
however according to anything I can find on google, this size comes only as a 'front' tire, while the rear tires are all different (can't find rear tire with the size above)
did anybody replace rear-tires here? what size/model did you get

Change to 130/70/14 rear... that's my new Super 8's rear tire...

When I looked for a rear tire a year or so ago, I couldn't find another rear tire that would fit. I didn't want to go with a front tire on the rear so I got another OEM Chen shin. I did read that someone put a much wider, I think 140 tire on the rear. I'm not crazy about the grip of the stock rear in wet conditions but at least it lasts a long time.

I just adjusted my riding style with the Chens... because I'm aware of it being slippery... ;)

I've tried looking and found that they don't carry that size in the States.
The closest size tire I found are 140/70-14 and 140/60-14.
I found this a while ago http://imgur.com/a/QnyuO (http://imgur.com/a/QnyuO) so we know a 140/60-14 will fit but look at that picture and see how much smaller in diameter it is than stock? A 140/70-14 would be closer in diameter to stock but we don't know if that fits or not. I think it will.
