Title: Where can I order signals for my people s 125? Want to get rid of signal stalks.
Post by: Indy21 on September 14, 2013, 02:58:21 AM
I've tried google and searched everywhere I can think of and still haven't found what I'm looking for so thought I would try you guys/gals for help.

I'm wanting to eventually get rid of the quirky signal stems (us model) on my people s and rewire them somehow to the panel signals location on the front of my bike. Is there no place to order these lights?

Under close inspection there seem to be just 'dummy' lens in place now, no bulbs inside and they for sure don't light up.

Has anyone done this mod themselves? Can't find any previous post on any forum for help either.

Thanks and hope I was clear in my explanation. :)

Those blinkers you are wanting to remove is what makes your scooter legal in the US. It has something to do with the spacing between the blinkers. The blinkers you are wanting to do are for I believe the European market.

Check your local laws before removing those stalks... European and Asian variants don't have those...

Hey AMAC, have you tried this kit?
Looks pretty cool!
And WHY the HECK did Kymco delete the People line this year?
My next scoot is gonna be a big wheeled type....(People, SYM or Scarabeo)

I've been searching online trying to find the laws for Alabama and all I could find from the DMV site was this...

"Motorcycle Headlights

Your motorcycle must have at least 1 headlight and 1 reflector.

You should ride with your headlights on at all times to help other drivers see you on the road. Use your low beam at night and in the fog."

Guess I could call just in case and I'm also very curious if anyone has tried the Columbia kit!

Search KRIDEN's post on reactivating the factory front turn signals. It has detailed instructions on how to do it.

Yes it worked great. It can be done splicing wires but that's not my gig so I used that kit.

I just sold my People S200. It was a great scooter but with the big wheels and my very short legs flat footed landings didn't happen.

I bought a SYM RV 200 EVO. I hope it will be as good to me as the Kymco was.

Most states your turn signals must be 13 inches apart to be legal if you scoot has signals at all.  Many state it is OK to have no signals on the scoot but if you have them they must work or you get a ticket.

Hey there AMAC, do you remember what all came with the kit? Columbiascooters doesn't have an actual image for the kit on their site only says "more pictures coming soon".

Do you get whole new light panels or do you have to drill into the existing ones or something?

Thanks!
