Title: DT 300'S PAINT SCHEME
Post by: feebleknievel on September 13, 2013, 01:21:59 AM
Seems the Majority of the Dt 300's are Orange and Flat Black.thinking of breaking the trend and paint my bike Flat Black with so pin striping over the orange and after painting it pull the pin stripe off to reveal the orange stripes .still debating this .

Black is not a good colour. It absorbs heat making it very hot in hot weather. Also for safety a lighter colour is best. It would look just as good white with orange pin stripes & safer because you are easily seen.

I chose a white DT 300 just for the safety factor. In fact I dont understand why Yamaha and Honda do not offer white for their larger scooters. Suzuki does but the 600 is too big for around town toodling and the 400 has too many "issues". Before buying the Kymco I test drove a Majesty and LOVED IT! But I couldnt find one in white or even a bright color. Black or grey as a scooter in Texas is just mind numbing. Dark colors absorb heat and the dark colors decrease your ability to be seen and therefore you increase your chances of being hurt in an accident. Looking forward to the DT 400...seems like the perfect size.
