hope this info helps out a fellow newbie
Usually an "exercise in futility" since newbies often lack research initiative, or consider previous forum information to be irrelevant . . as evidenced by the numerous same topic reposts.

Too bad, Eric. Lots of old guys here and most are pretty mellow and helpful. I think most are in the 200 and up models although I started with a 50 4t (Agility 50) and this forum popped up. Formula 500 looks like another way to spend that retirement money!

Eric.  Great post.  Hope someone looking for answers searches and finds what you've researched.  I have a 50, 125, and a 250.  Not really a tinker with the engine kinda guy but I like reading a well written posting about what could be done.  One day I hope to have time to do some of what you've done to the 50, a Honda Metro.  I've copied and saved your post for future reference.  Forums come and go.
