General Discussion / Making my website more english-friendly
« on: August 26, 2013, 09:26:14 AM »
Hi i have this website about scooters : http://scootergrisen.dk/

Its in danish language but i want to make it more english-friendly so i have translated the menu and other parts of the website, not the main content itself.

My goal is it make the website more usefull and easier to navigate and contact me for people who understand english and dont understand danish.

Also i have a forum/board : http://scootergrisen.dk/forum/ that i would like to be more english-friendly so i made a english forum for that so people can come and ask different questions about scooters in english.

I would like your comments on how it is to navigate and understand the website.

Super 8 / Malossi multivar for Kymco Super 8 50cc 4 stroke
« on: May 31, 2012, 07:46:34 PM »
What package are you people using for Kymco Super 8 50 cc 4 stroke ?

I have been trying to get the right package for some days now but first i got 5113139 and found out that wassent the right model even though it could be put on, then i got 5113269 beforce the people send me the wrong even though i orderen 5113790 which i want.

Do anyone know the exact difference between 5113139 and 5113790 ?

There are difference in the bush and spring numbers in the 2 packages but no one is able to tell me the difference.
Did malossi just change the numbers and not the content ?

I made this page about Malossi multivar : http://scootergrisen.dk/scooterhjemmeside/malossimultivar.php

General Discussion / Looking for varaitor belt size info
« on: January 12, 2011, 06:39:43 AM »
I want to write more about variator belts on my website.
Therefore i would like to know the info your guys and girls have on belt size and other belt info you might have.

This is what i know (or think i know). Please correct me if im wrong.

Lets say we have a belt with these numbers on it:
669 18 30

That means :
669 mm around... but is that around the outside or inside of the belt ?
18 mm wide at the widest point
30 degree angel on the sides of the belt

Now some belts dont come with the last number so it could read 669 18.... why is that ?
Is 30 degree angel standard so theres no need to write it ?

I have a Kymco Super 8 and the belt dossent say the dimensions on it.
My belt says :
Kymco 23100-KEB7-9000 Bando
Do anyknow know the size of that belt ?

Also if you know the belt size for any specific scooter model please write it so i can use the info om my website.

Super 8 / seat and rear shocks feels wrong
« on: September 03, 2010, 05:35:24 PM »
Is it just me or is the Kymco Super 8 rear shocks way to hard and the seat way to forward inclining ?

When riding over a bump in the road the shocks are so stiff. and it feel like you get pushed forward beacue on the forward incline in the seat. If i brake i get pushed forward and have to reposition myself on the seet.

I have tryed to but some foam on the front part of the seat and i help a little for a while but i guess the foam must have gotton more flat overtime.

Now i have placed a block used for sandpaper underneath the helmet box to raise the front part of the seat. This i much bettet but of course the screw holes and plastic are all wrong now but i feels much better.

I would like to hear your comment and se your modification to the seat.

General Discussion / Rusten exhaust
« on: May 07, 2010, 02:39:44 PM »
Do anyone have tips to make the exhaust not rust so easily ?
What tools and paint to use.

I live in a rainy country so other people living in dray places might not have this problem with rust at all.

I read sandblasting should be good... but who has a sandblaster. i dont.

Have a look here for exhausts that i have painted:
http://scootergrisen.dk/scooterhjemmeside/service_luftfilter.php

I tryed with black and transparent paint.

Also your suposed to heat the paint to 160 degre celsius for 30-60 minuts but who as a exhaust sized oven.
I have heated the paint by running the engine but maby the front section of the exhaust gets to hot and other parts not enough.

And tips ?

Yes the pictures are photocopied  ???
Yes the pages are rotated a bit  :-\
Yes is does say 1988  :(
Yes it can be a bit hard to read the text  :'(
