General Discussion / Kymco Agility 50 and 125 parts the same
« on: May 03, 2017, 06:03:37 PM »
There is a local scooter parts store here in town where I get my parts for my bike. I got rid of the original air filter because there was no way to clean it. I decided to a get a high performance air filter instead. It was not until I rode the bike last night that the filter came off. The filter was very tight when my friend installed it. The performance itself is 42mm for the 150 bikes. The one for the 50cc is 38mm. I was thinking maybe the one for the 150 is too big.

Are the 50 and 125cc agility parts the same size? I am going back today to get the smaller performance filter for my bike which is a 125 agility.

General Discussion / Scooter Tires and how often we should change them
« on: April 17, 2017, 08:11:31 PM »
Guys:

I came across this great blog about how often we should change our tires. For me, it is almost time to change mine. The writer states it is every five years. Even if your tires have a lot of tread left they should still be change. This makes sense. When I get to tires for my car at Discount Tire, they told me my spare was no good any more. Like everything else, tires have a limited shelf life. Enjoy this article.

General Discussion / No Kymco Presence in Nevada
« on: February 06, 2017, 11:52:03 PM »
Hello fellow Kymco Riders:

I have been off this forum for quite awhile. I had to take care of my own financial issues. I am up on these.
The Vegas dealer for Kymco has closed. The word is they declared bankruptcy. With the new scooter law that passed, it might be at least two years before Kymco decides to come back to Vegas. The new law for the 50cc scooters went into effect last November. All the small bikes now need to be registered.  Within two years they will have to be insured too. All motorcycles never to be smogged. Within the next year all motorcycles including scooters will have to have a smog test.

I really love my 2012 Kymco Agility scooter 125cc. The original battery lasted for four years too. No matter what, I still love my kymco bike. She loves to go and has literally been everywhere here in the Vegas metro area. St. Paulie girl, my bike has been down to the Pioneer saloon in Good Springs up to Mount Charleston. She is a real trooper.

I hope somebody from Kymco USA reads this post and contacts one of the motorcycle dealers to bring back their product to Vegas. I do not like the Chinese bikes. They are not as well built as the Kymco bikes are. Vegas needs Kymco.

Hello Kymco family:
This past Friday December 11th, 2015 was my three year anniversary of my Kymco Agility 125cc scooter. I am just barely doing 5,000 miles a year on it. I am so glad I purchased this bike. Other than basic maintenance St. Pauly Girl has been terrific to her daddy. Keep on riding guys.

Hello scooter peeps:

You know May is sweeps month when they decide to do stories like this. We already get a bad wrap. Now this ensures how all the cagers will hate us even more. Most of these are small, Chinese scooters they show instead of the quality brands. Part 2 is airing tonight.

Hello guys and gals:
Here are some pictures that were taken of me at the Vegas HighRollers Weekend Vintage scooter rally.
Enjoy them.

I do not know if this question has been discussed before, but I bring this topic up because of being at the annual Las Vegas HighRollers Weekend Scooter rally. The people who attend the rally really love their vintage Vespas, Lambrettas, and Stellas. These bikes are all manual transmissions instead of the twist and go automatic bikes. One guy I met told I should consider buying a vintage scooter. He said they are not that expensive as one can be brought for about 3grand or less. They will last forever because the engines are meant to be rebuilt. The guy told me he would consider keeping the Kymco since they are good bikes. For me I see those who attend the rally with their vintage bikes are being very snoody and snobbish because of what they own.

I love my modern Kymco Agility 125. She runs like a champ and I have had very few problems with her. For me it is about the riding experience. I do not care what I ride. Even some of the current Vespas are automatic and not manual transmissions. I know the current Kymcos can last forever too as long as they are maintained which many are. This is just my opinion on this. Feel free to share your thoughts on this.
