Title: An thoughts on SYM Joymax 300i ABS and GTS 300i ABS?
Post by: bountybuddy on February 19, 2015, 12:13:09 PM
SYM is made in Taiwan.  The quality looks outstanding.  They are a little bit heaver, around 400 pounds.  Top speed is around 95 MPH.  The only problem is I may not be able to find one in Michigan.  If you have any thoughts on these scooters, pro or con, please share them with me.  Thank you for your help.  Ride safe my friends.

SYM makes great bikes, but sketchy parts support. Lance is the importer, and they seem to be doing an ok job, but you can't go online and buy parts for SYM.

Hay bountybuddy. What part of Michigan are you in. We have the syms scoots here in Grandrapids. Not sure if they go that big, we have the rough house 50 and the 125 and some others .I couse you woul;d have to call the dealer here and they can tell you where to go.

SYM is imported by Alliance Powersports.

http://www.alliancepowersports.com (http://www.alliancepowersports.com)

These scoots are top notch rock soild rides. The RV200 is bulletproof will run 75 mph/GPS and all day at 65. Tons of storage. I also have a 2010 Lance Cali Classic 125 that's just a workhorse. I love the SYMs as much as my Kymcos.

All that said theses are great scoots but you must have dealer support. As stated almost all parts will need to be ordered from the dealer. I've never needed anything other than a turn signal and had it in 6 days. Odds are you won't need parts. Theses things just don't break down often.

If you have a good dealer I'd go for it.
