Agility 50 / 72cc BBK and 120 Jet Popping
« on: July 07, 2013, 04:51:25 AM »
Hello all! Been a while since I seriously tore into my scooter since last year. Can't seem to get enough fuel into the thing. It pops every time I give it more than 1/4 or 1/2 throttle thereabouts. Got a free flow air filter on there so I know I'm needing a rather large jet with the 72cc BBK combo. I don't wanna burn this cylinder out and can't find any obvious air leaks. Any discussion or tips would be greatly appreciated! ??? ??? ??? ???

Agility 50 / Proper Micro Bit Set For Jets
« on: May 09, 2013, 02:32:08 PM »
Anyone know where to find a micro drill bit set with ranges between 1mm-1.4mm or thereabouts for drilling out main jets? Preferably in .2mm increments or close to it.

Agility 50 / Been out of the game for a minute...
« on: November 27, 2012, 07:59:25 PM »
Haven't touched my scooter since July... about to get back in the game! Got frustrated with re-jetting the carb and found a new hobby for a bit (electronic cigarettes $2,500 worth, I know, weird), but I'm not bound and determined to have my agility running and finely tuned for the next riding season in MI. Any words of encouragement?? lol

Agility 50 / Over-sized jet sizes
« on: September 27, 2012, 06:55:41 PM »
Anyone know where to get a hold of some jets that are in the 120-135ish range?

I know I can drill them out and stuff and just haven't got round to doing that... all summer. I'd like to find some I can just throw in and ride with.

I know someone on here will want this... I know I would've if I hadn't just bought a impact.

Hopefully this is a somewhat new find, I've never seen it before on Ebay this cheap.

Agility 50 / New variator aaaannddd issues arise....
« on: July 13, 2012, 12:45:12 AM »
So I installed my Multivar today along with a 1500 contra as well as a new main jet.

The issue: When I ride now at more than 3/4 throttle or so it starts popping, it started doing this with a 112 main jet, so I up jetted to the largest jet I have a 120 and it's still doing it but a little less.

Also it feels like the engine is working really hard, almost feels like theres some kind of resistance.

Please help!!!!!!! ???

I'm going  ::)

Agility 50 / Quick ????

Save me an extra trip to the hardware store...

I'm at school right now and wanted to pick up a socket on the way home to take my clutch off with my impact.

Does anyone know off hand what size the nut that holds the clutch bell and clutch on is?

Agility 50 / Multivar finally arrived!! But...
« on: July 11, 2012, 03:43:06 PM »
Still haven't taken it out of the box yet, but what is this plastic spacer looking thing that comes with the Multivar and do I need to use it??

...On a side note, I was taking out my main jet to upjet and when trying to twist the old one out it started to crumble and break apart from the twisting of the screwdriver. Had to get vice grips so it wouldn't disintegrate. Why in the hell would this happen?

Agility 50 / Will these fit?

Found these... but not sure if they will fit. I know the picture is just a generic photo cuz all of them have the same pic.

It doesn't say they fit the agility but it seems like they would.

Anyone have any experience with these guys?

Anyone know much about the 04-05 ZX50's? Have an opportunity to pick one up for cheap, but was wondering about top speed reliability and availability of parts?

Agility 50 / Good day gone wrong...(with pictures!!!)
« on: June 14, 2012, 01:07:24 AM »
So today I took my CVT apart to give it a good cleaning and put it back together then went for a ride. About halfway around the block I heard a horrible noise, shut it off and wheeled it back home and took the CVT cover off immediately. Below are one or two pics of what I found.

Does the damage look horrible or should I still be good? When I put the variator and stuff back on the teeth all still line up perfectly with almost no play when I rock the drive plate, or whatever it's called back and forth. Seems to me like it just kinda scuffed the metal real good and didn't take too much metal with it, but let me know what you guy's think.

I did realize when I was putting the whole variator assembly back on and went to put the belt back on over the boss there was almost no slack and had to squeeze the belt down into the clutch to slide it back on, it was a real struggle. Then when I slid the plate on that goes on after the belt (the one with the fan thing that goes over it, then the washer and bolt) it didn't seem like it was sitting flush. It seemed like the belt was in the way and stopped it from tightening down onto the boss drive. I just tightened it as much as possible and hoped it pushed the belt out of the way a little and sat flush and snug. It didn't and this is what happened.

So my real question is why did this happen? Why couldn't I tighten the plate down all the way, why was the belt in the way?
I'm really freaking out so I would appreciate if my fellow Kymco pals would look this over and give me their diagnosis. ;)

Agility 50 / Draining the tank
« on: June 12, 2012, 06:50:30 AM »
Anyone have a good method for draining the fuel out of the tank, I'm just about to finally de-winterize my scoot (been busy) and last year when I drained the fuel out I ended up with almost a gallon on me and he floor, wasn't pretty or aromatic. The fuel petcock is at kind of a weird spot and angle and it seems like I would need a hell of a wide tubed funnel to handle the flow. Has anyone come up with a simple way around this?
