picked me one up and a 4 lb hammer to go with..will see if it works when needed.

4lb hammer is way bigger than you will need or want to use, unless your fastener is on something really solid and really tight,   12oz-16oz ball peen in more appropriate

I agree. Once your hands get cold they never get warm. I hate having to take my gloves off
- Wolf

I no longer swipe my card at the pump in winter, always go inside the store to pay, only take my gloves off in warmth

cold air = free horsepower

coldest I have ever been out was on my SV650, was -25° for about a 100 mile ride,  I learned very quickly to not pump fuel with your gloves off, heated glove, while they will keep your hands warm, will not warm them back up once they have got that cold, luckily I got gas at the end of the ride and it was only 3 miles back home

I also learned that duct tape is your friend, seal the overlaps between jacket and pants and boots and pantleg by taping them up, a draft of -25 temp @60mph feels like yer getting stuck with a needle

A 650 will be wound up?

when compared to a 1000cc or larger, makes a difference of comfort and endurance when long distance riding (IBA type)

is it ABS ? a 650 is a nice size bike, I had a SV650 prior to my V-strom 1000, it took me everywhere I wanted to go and then some, you will be able to out accelerate all but the fastest cars, but If you start doing long distance riding like I did, while it will keep up with any flow of traffic all day long, it will be wound up, I found 1000cc to be more relaxing on the throttle

Maybe oil pressure, too?

Karl

no, there is no oil pressure till the engine is running, the oil pump is mechanical, not electric

What does the buzzer signify?

Karl

that the ECU has completed it's startup self check, fuel system is pressurized

Burgmans have an oil window....no dipstick.
Oil level must be checked after a 3 min run with a 3min wait...OFF  of the center stand...489 lb. scoot held level. Of course you will need a buddy to then kneel down in the puddle at the gas station to look down there into that window.
Wonderful system.
Any oil windows on Kymcos, and if so how do you deal with it?
Stig

use the mirror on a stick method while straddling the scooter, look at the oil window with a mirror. this is method I use on my V-strom sometimes however it is not that hard to keep the bike balanced with your left hand on the seat while bending over to look thru the oil window, and a V-strom is a lot more top heavy than a Bergman

a hand impact is cordless and would be much more useful than a powered impact tool, just remember ya need a hammer too

Fast is a relative term the 103 cubic inch HD's are fast relative to most scooters. The HD's are not fast when compared to Ninjas (and most of the other crotch rocket offerings)...

The point of the post was cost for value and function received. Harley makes a solid machine and has done so party much since the end of the AMF days.

sure, blame the rep on AMF, I have an old AMF Dewalt radial arm saw, much better quality than the offerings from Dewalt today

Great post Papa. Harley's. Maybe just an expensive way to get nowhere fast.

- Wolf

this is the first time I ever heard of anyone think of a Hardley Ableson as fast, aren't they a brand of oil leakin air compressor ?

Filter Cross Reference if anyone needs it.
If someone finds something incorrect, please let me know.

Motorcycle-Specific Filters - (About 2.5 to 3 inches long)

2. NAPA Gold 1358 about $7 to $8

4. WIX 51358 about $7 to $8

HiFlo 138 translates to NAPA GOLD 1359 and WIX 51359

just came from NAPA with a NAPA GOLD earlier today

hello all, new to forum and to Kymco

just acquired a 2015 UXV450i for my land surveying business. I've  had it 2 weeks and already have 110 miles on it. I have it dual registered for both street and off road

questions I have is for things I do not see in accessory catalogs, most specifically conveniences for street use like turn signals and pigtail for trailer lights as I will probably get more street use than off road use
