If anything like my first Kymco, an Agility 50, it is restricted in a number of ways, including jetting on the lean side which skyrockets the exhaust heat dramatically.

drill a hole in the rear of the exhaust to see if it helps...

Upjet as well??...

Exhausts are supposed to get hot ffs!

They are taking red hot gasses directly out of the engine.
Do not be alarmed by this. I've burnt myself lots of times on hot pipes.
Some bigger bikes, the pipes turn blue with the heat. Even tail pipes will take your skin off after just a five minute journey.

Don't sweat it ! Forget about drilling holes or altering jets

I was a victim of a hot pipe... took my ankle skin off like a baked potato... dang!

yes i know exhausts are supposed to get hot FFS THAT DOESNT HELP just after a bit of friendly advice.

I think that you are worrying about nothing. Just because your pipe is red hot, it does not mean your bike is not getting enough oil. Stop worrying! In sure your bike is fine.

Sorry but I cant help but wait to see who blows first from sh** being to hot....
Dirtymudflap...yeah, I know as well pipes get hot as well BUT the fks can be tooo fkn hot.
When you see "blue" pipes... sh** is to hot...to lean... Should be a "gold" color. If the cat gets clogged, the pipe can run to hot that'd why I mentioned drilling a hole. (I have an extra hole in BOTH the oem pipes.. Hey, it gets extra gases out and sounds better...lol (drilled 5 in the ags pipe)

Temp on the pipes are why someone made the EGT sensor... BECAUSE it's not suppesed to be too hot.  ;)

Glad you figured the oil mix was incorrect.. good job.  ;) Keep us posted

You know something, you are offering information to someone who is impessionable, on something you clearly dont understand.
Drilling holes in pipes means they are no longer "gas tight" they will fail the uk annual test for this.
There's also likely to be a drop in back pressure which will lose the scoot power.

Here's the problem with advice on forums, you never know the credentials of the person offering it!

I'm 42 yrs old. Military background, I've owned half a dozen two stroke bikes if varying capacity and a dozen 600cc-1000cc
I do my own servicing and repairs on my motorcycles and jeeps.
I'm telling the original poster that every exhaust gets hot, damned hot !
Drilling holes in it and meddling with mixtures etc because of this, is a schoolboy error !

Before any further arguments... I have one question... How hot is the hot we are talking about here? dirtymudflap, can you elaborate more on what you mean by hot? because all exhaust pipes are supposed to get hot....very hot...

I'm so happy the riding weather is coming and I'm back on the boards. It's heated (pun intended) debates like these that makes it hard to shut off the computer.   ;D

I must f***ing know something there naughty... I ride 5 god dasm kymco's and here in the shiny state of N.C. I have a hole drilled in the oem s9 pipes.. BOTH BTW... I have holes in the ag pipe.. SEVERAL  other memebers have done the same mudda fkn  thing.. No body said you HAD to do it... It was a suggestion. The fkn EGT gauges are made and fitted so YOUR GOD DAM PIPE DOESNT GET TOOOOOOO FKN HOT. yes, DUH pipes get hot but the gases are NOT suppose to be overly hot... What the ever dude...

I am glad the original poster found out that he WAS NOT getting enough oil... which would make the pipe OVERLY HOT smart ass

meddling with mixtures

Retard...... You will mess with the mix here in the states anyway. If you dont want to "meddle".. then dont fkn try and tune... Which you have done, so you have been meddling your self.... hmmm... double standards

I guess it needs to be officail.... No more Kymco forum.... I guess since Naughtylee is the only one with the correct answers it should be "lee'sforum" now... and the hundreds of ppl that have taken advice should stop..... The hundreds of ppl that ride DAILY dont have a clue as to how they ride everyday bc they didnt listen to one persons post.. I guess riding black widow for a yr with a modded oem pipe @53-54MPH.. I have been dreaming I guess.. I guess the gutted oem pipe on lil red didnt work either. It sux to find out this a.m that I have been walking for 5 yrs and not riding my Kymcos....

You really haven't got a clue! Ha ha ha ha ha!
Is this a special thread? Or do you make up silly solutions for other scooter problems?
How do you deal with fuel vacuum problems?
Is your solution to drill holes in the fuel tank ?

Ha ha ha !

Hey, I think I've put too much air in my tyres, what's your solution to this ?
Don't tell me.... Pass the black and decker !!
Lol

Lol !!
For the record, there's no suggestion of me knowing ALL the answers, I'll freely admit that despite having some 26 years involvement with motorcycles, I don't know everything.

I can however, spot ridiculous posts.
No doubt someone will pull ( or drill ) holes in my words now!

Where the fk are your vids showing me that I am wrong?????   Where are your vids matching speeds????...... thats right, you just want to talk sh** to other ppl that actually try these things to see if they shall work.
I always thought since i have been here for several YEARS now, not a prick showing up last month that this forum was to get MULTIPLE Pof V's to find a solution but we see that evidently YOU are the only one with solutions.... AWEOME...

BTW, cvt cover holes help with disapating heat as well. I know the guy with that cvt cover.  ;)

How pitiful. You're just another keyboard warrior who gets straight onto the name calling offensive when your " solutions " are pointed out for the jokes they are.
Make sure you come back with a load more abuse, name calling and idle threats now... From the safety of your bedroom. xx
