Looks great Luigi, you required to wear full leathers or something less?

Most people wear full leathers but you are not required to. You have to at least wear a helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots.

Stig,

I ran Kenda Kwiks. First time racing I wanted a safe tire that didn't hurt the wallet. They were actually really great and don't expect to change. They rarely lost traction. Even was able to scrape in the leans ha

Glad to see my posts helped. Is the Keihn carb a PHBG clone? If its not I am not too much help. If it is my jetting is different because I have the 2t atomiser setup in there. See if you can jet the main that it hits 330 in the hilly areas. Seems to be the sweet spot. Hitting 350 is close to bad. I soft seized once and it was right when I hit 370. I run 330 all day no worries.

Here is an update on my setup, for my own record and to help others getting engine tuned.

Malossi BBK PN. 319987
Used everything except provided reeds, they don't fit. Running stock reeds and cage

PHBG 19 AS carb
52 Pilot Jet
1.75 turns on fuel screw
40 slide
W7 needle 4th notch from the top i.e. richest setting
92 Main jet
AU 262 atomizer
2T atomizer bushing

With this setup in the carb, I've seen engine temps up to 350 (CHT under spark plug). With W16 needle, top notch, and 88 main jet I saw engine temps up to 330, definitely drive-able with small rich spot

20mm intake

Malossi E8 air filter

Technigas Next-R Exhaust

Hope this helps!

de dee,

Thanks that helps. I have about 1/8'' - 1/4'' on the variator circumference that I can take advantage of. Any idea how many mm of added length I should try?

Maybe i should figure out the difference in arc length of current and wanted position of the belt and add it to the length i measure ha

Hi John,

I have no kymco dealer near me to check out belts. I know my OEM belt is fine if I want OEM performance, but I am trying to get a little more travel out of it. I still have the stock clutch, but a Malossi variator now. I need a little length so that when the var is closed the belt can ride higher on the clutch and vice versa

I was in the CVT of my 2013 Like 50. I noticed the belt could be a little longer (belt reaches the bottom of the variator but not the top of clutch pully, vice versa confirmed after sharpie test). I cant find OEM belt size anywhere. Any idea how to figure that out? And how to know what longer size I should go to without buying a bunch of belts?

I tried another gradient system. The previous was a gradient with all values considered. This one is gradients within tips that end in the same value. I am having too much fun now.
