Title: Live to ride another day....like tomorrow!
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on June 23, 2020, 02:56:17 PM
OK, that 's me being a Drama Queen (according to my teenage daughter)….
But I decided to turn around when I saw the Wall of Doom in the near distance.
Darkest cloud bank on such a bright morning...

Might be a sign I'm not supposed to be poking around in this neighborhood...

Put it away for another day.....besides - I just spent 2.5 hrs detailing it (wash, wax and ACF-50)

Wise choice, I wouldn't risk it. In this area a similar storm bank brings 45-60kt wind gusts, occasional hail, and up to 2 inches of rain in an hour. I waited out an afternoon summer storm at the steel yard warehouse the other day. Glad I saw it on radar before leaving as it capped at 64kt gusts.

As a side note I now put my helmet in a cover before locking it to the bike. Unpleasant sponge.

Helmet - Love the fact my full face stashes under the seat on my XT300!

The Good Lord blessed me with a XXXXL head.
Size 8 hat is tight!.
Even my Burgman 400 wouldn't take my helmet.
....and wouldn't want to ride with a topcase that could!
Playing high-school football required a special trip, with the coach, to an equipment store.
Embarrassing....
