I'd like to see a separate thread for the Kymco People S 125 scooter. Seems odd not to have one already.

Reviving this old thread, but sold my 2009 People S 125 some years back but just found another exact same scooter but in white and not red this time. I just had the white one up to 100 kph no problem and it went a bit faster down a slight hill. Awesome scooter for the money.

Sold my People S 125 today. She ran like a swiss watch and never once gave me any problems.  On to something else I guess. :'(

I have a 2009 People S 125 and with my 6 foot, 210 pound frame on the scooter I can reach a max speed of 95 KPH. Cruises effortlessly at 80 KPH.

I'm not sure what you mean by making it easier to lock your scooter. I use three locks; a Grip-Lock, a disc brake lock and a rear wheel Mini Grip lock.

Be careful, the Vespa scooters have steel body parts while the Kymco uses plastic. You could probably mount that rack but in use it would likely cause the plastic to break and/or fail at some point. Not a great idea in my opinion.

I ride a People S 125 and at my last fill up I travelled 159.9 kms and the scoot took 4.644 litres to fill. Based on those figures I seem to be getting 97.26 miles per Imperial gallon, or for my friends south of the border 80.99 miles per US gallon.

Have you checked the fuses? Might have a blown main fuse.

General Discussion / Re: Reverse Mortgages: What do guys think?
« on: March 06, 2012, 02:13:53 PM »
Reverse mortgages are a bad investment. Your home is initially appraised and given a value. Over the years you receive a percentage of that value and in the end you don't own your home and die penniless leaving nothing for your family. Don't forget, that your home likely appreciates in value and that you do not receive any benefits from the increased value. You're still paid based on the original assessment. I'd never consider this BS scheme.

My People S 125 has an automatic choke so I just get on her and go.
