Kymco Xciting 500R timing chain
« on: November 28, 2021, 09:53:47 PM »
Hello everyone.im the owner of a Kymco Xciting 500R which I like very much.comfortable ride and enough power from a little single cylinder 500cc engine.lately I heard that after going above 40k KM there's the chance that the timing chain fails thus resulting in an engine break up. Is this true?? Do you guys think it's worth changing the chain since I read on several sites that this should last as long as the engine life itself and that it's a big job to change.  Very confused what to do at this stage since like I said I like this scoot very much..by the way ..I always service it on time using good oil and new filter with each oil change..thanks guys .
