« on: February 28, 2011, 04:49:59 PM »
I have a 300mxu atv and it will start and run fine but as it sets there the temp guage comes right on up and then the engine runs faster then the temp light starts flashing and at that point I shut it off. I just got this mach and I don't know if you should be able to hear the fan or not. any ideas thanks --emd

On my scooter I can't hear the fan running. After I shut off after a hard run or a lengthy idle, I can turn the key back on and then I can plainly hear the fan running.

What about your coolant level?

When the temp light comes on stop the quad
and leave engine running
lokk and see if you can see fan running
if not running check sender switch on the rad
You could also disconnect fan wires and test with ba small
9volt battery
