Super 8 / Re: 13 50cc 2T mods?
« on: July 01, 2016, 03:59:17 PM »
I was with crave last night.  I put in a molassi Variator kit with ^ grammies in it (maybe to lite for this beast). He has a nice clean bike, and has the 70cc Kit Naraku and Upjetted to 92. Stock air, no snorkel. He is what sounds like to me overheating and stalling temporarily , and bike is notably hot as f***. He has a Q-Tre tecnigas exhaust, bike has serious power... But its "soft siezing" as they say, is what hes described to me. I didnt get the pleasure to have it cut off for me, it just performed like a beast. On way home to him it happened, and got worst. started at like 49mph he said-----------  NOW i no we potentially heard an air leak near cylinder or exhaust manifold ...........and his Mixture screw is un cut un touched (untuned) . Smooth brass head still.. .... Bike to me sounds classic LEAN ...Running lean as a mofo.........   Anyone else?     A new bigger carb to regulate everything bigger for bigger carb would be Optimal for it

Congrats on the scoot. Well the exhaust being closed up is a HUGE help. I believe ive sent you a message earlier about that. Changing it would be better but you can still get to 45 mph with that welded exhaust. Keeping the weights up above 7.5 Ive realized on the super 8 is a big deal. You can drop them and have crazy acceleration, but will lose a little bit on top end. The magic number for me , 2013 kymco super 8 , is 7.7 weights. I have a Naraku variator and a 15x12 mm Roller weight tuning kit with many different weights. Also a stiffer torque spring .. At this weight 7.7 I had the pushing power to climb over 40, but had 1/3 more acceleration than before. Also, getting your hands on a # 88 main jet would allow alittle better performance. Mine had a stock 82 in it. It was alright...85 worked better, but 88 was perfect. A good exhaust is going to be the BEST upgrade at end of day for your 2 stroke. Its already been cut and welded so its almost their, but any decent aftermarket exhaust will give you more power/speed... And noise. With great powerful exhaust comes great Whining noises. .. Also, opening up your cvt periodically and Lubing the drive boss and cleaning it produces instant performance upgrades if you feal your cvt getting sh**tier over time.

Super 8 / Re: Best oil to use for '13 50cc 2t?
« on: June 27, 2016, 07:14:49 PM »
Hey man, congrats on the New kymco. I have the same ride........ For the first 500 - 700 miles I would NOT use any type of Synthetic or semi synthetic. Use regular tcw 3  2 Cycle  oils, castor oils's. After 700 delicate miles switch to a higher end SEMI SYNTHETIC or FULL SYNTHETIC 2 stroke oil. I regularly use Lucas LOW ASH Semi Synthetic 2 cycle oil. It is cheap, and works good. Their is no CVT oil per say, just gear oil hidden behind your cvt's casing that you shouldn't have to worry about yet. If you have the 2t KYMCO their is no other engine oil than the reservoir under the seat that you fill with 2 stroke oil. It is not like the regular 4 stroke's in that their is no oil lubing the crank that you must maintain. As long as your not buying oil from family Dollar name brand doesnt make a huge huge deal, just watch for Synthetic or not

Super 9 / Naraku traffic exhaust here for kymco 2t Air Cooled bikes
« on: June 07, 2016, 12:38:36 PM »
I have a Kymco super 8 2t , bought a nice but NOisy loud dirtbike sounding NAraku Traffic exhaust. It fits kymco super 8 AC, super 9AC, and vitality AC 2 STROKE BIKES. Its nice, adds power and is liiiiiight weight compared to stock, but the extra power wasnt worth the screaming pitch it makes at certain rpm's, like a 2 stroke dirtbike. Yes , i like it, but I wanted to keep the quietness just due to the hours I ride, always awkward early mornings or late night.   Anyways the exhaust is nice, still black and fresh. Couple small scuffs on it, but it looks brand new otherwise. Its only a month old. Ill sell it and ship it to anybody here for 100 cash. THE ONLY ISSUE,  i lost the bottom mounting spacer for it. I have the top one, the bottom one is nothing but a simple 1 inch long bushing..... well I went to home depot to buy one, but they didnt have the perfect sizee.... so i bought a 13mm 1/4 inch socket which literally has the exact outer dimensions as the bushing, and perfect length at an inch. It works perfect. Ill include that so its good to go on the bike. I no its stupid, but i just needed a spacer and fast that day lol my moped shop here in boston area told me to use nice harderened washers and stack them to the perfect length, but this socket is perfect. it even is tight to the bolt on the inside diameter.. like meant to be. anyways leme no. email me agoncalvesjr89@gmail.com

The naraku traffic is a dope pipe. Very lite, but alittle noisy at times. Fits the kymco super 8 2t great and adds tons of power and snap.... If you dont mind having a loud scooter. To me here in boston and having a mrs. on the back occasionally, i need some silent power. Ill deal with the stock mod for now until i get a different exhaust.  The naraku Traffic for kymco super8 2t is for sale here in massachusetts. Its in beautiful shape. couple light surface scratches, LIGHT LIGHT.  Anybody interested leme no. Its light weight and adds Boost. 100$ total including shipping.

I have a 2013 s8 2t.    I ur doing 41 with the stock catalyst exhaust , u will do 50 with an aftermarket one. I recently got a really really good exhaust . NARAKU TRAFFIC for kymco 2t.   Its nuts. Added 8mph and massive throaty sound.... Added a huge amount of low end torque.

Update everyone.

My bike already had smooth boss. Put in new variator naraku standard variator NoN Sport. Put in 7.5 rollers.  Put in green +60 % torque spring.  All this smoothed my whole tranny out. While i had it apart i lubed EVERYTHING up. I believe this also helped a ton. Finally i put on a NARAKU traffic 2t exhaust, after removing the restrictor in the down pipe. (Which wasnt too easy on this pipe). ......... Results are awesome.    44mph top speed, can easily get their and cruise their.  The pulling power and acceleration is very fast. Peppy like a 2 stroke dirtbike. Its like a complete different bike.  smooth hard pulling power all the way to 40mph +. It wanted to wheelie. I have nothing but an 80 jet in their, just big enough. Stock air box. The exhaust and new rollers were crucial.  If i get bigger main jet and go 8 gram rollers i no i can push past 43,,
But this set up is still fast and having this light tranny gives me really goooood acceleration.   THE EXHAUST IS A MUUUUSTTT

Maybe, im going to first grab a new exhaust. It has no real issues other than topspeed at 37 which with the stock exhaust is expected. just wondering if now ill have a more aggressive powerband and top end with the same dead zone at 15... its like the rpm's everything dies at 15mph , if going up a hill forget regaining momentum. I have to hit the hill starting about 15

Super 8 / 2013 super 8 50 2t QUESTION about tranny
« on: December 11, 2015, 05:56:40 PM »
hi all. I have a 2013 super 8 50 2t. upjetted to 83 and drive boss swapped, the bike does 35-38 mps flats. from 0-15mph its fast with the powerband, at 15 mph its like the engine bogs down and falls off - slowly accelerating again up to 37mph on flats. Stock everything other than drive boss and 83 jet.  EVerytime at 15 mph weather im approaching it fast in the power band or creeping up it falls off and slows down. DO we think this is a carb problem or transmission. it standard 16 mm carb has a non adjustable needle. Should i replace the variator and spring with lighter weights, or carb.   ... Guaranteed at 15 mph the powerband ends and so does the pulling. The stock kymco 2t exhaust from 2013 as we all know is a joke. Im sure with a tecnigas type r it will raise the performance of all around driving.... but this 15mph dead zone, what is it!!!! Anyone please
