Electrical problem / 19 Volt charge
« on: December 28, 2011, 08:30:31 AM »
My MXU 300 sometimes has up to 19 Volts at the batteri. First at start there is 14.7 Volts but sone it rises to about 19. From the behavior of the head lights I can see that the error is intermittent. I have tried to meassure the regulator but i can't understand all the connections since there are six cables.

Please advice

The regulator should drop the maximum voltage to 14.5 as read at the battery.
If it doesn't, then it is faulty and you need to replace it ASAP becasue the high
voltage can cook the battery and destroy the electronic ignition as well as burn out light bulbs.
