Downtown 300 / Re: replaced belt
« on: November 20, 2015, 08:01:18 PM »
After 25,500 miles on the OEM belt I decided to not roll the dice and replaced it. It took all of an hour and 15 minutes. Easy peazy lemon squeezy! The old belt was missing 3 teeth so in hindsight it was a good move to not wait any longer and next time I will check it every 5000 miles just to be safe. Only tool needed was an impact and deep sockets.

Thanks to de dee for all his helpful advice and tips! Wish I could have found an after market belt since the 130 I was charged by Kymcomonster parts seemed excessive but then again I cant complain if I manage to get another 15-20,000 out of the next one.
MIke & The boys at Powersporswarehouse in South Carolina are good people and they do quick shipping i have bought almost $600.00 worh of parts from those guys highly recommend them
