« on: October 21, 2016, 07:17:33 AM »
Hello
Did anyone tried this on our scooter?
And if so, what would be the right model and size?

https://airhawk.net/product-category/cushions/

I am not completely satisfied with my seat and not sure if i want to spend hole lot of money
remaking my seat.
I dont have the skills to do it myself.

The Airhawks are not like most seat pads. They were first made by ROHO the leader in cushions for wheelchairs. As such they are designed for loooooong term sitting. Air adjustable chambers assure no pressure points when adjusted correctly.

Yeah I like them, my butt never touches anything without a ROHO product under it.

I use an original Airhawk Cruiser seat on my Helix. I will not ride without it. It is that good. No discomfort, pressure points, or numbness. I recommend them.

Best would be silicon gel pads specifically for bike seats. But they aren't cheap and you have to bring your seat to an upholstery guy to have it fitted.

Can i ask why the medium and not the large?
Is it because the size of the butt or seat?
I dont have any shops here in Stockholm that sells it so it will be the size i order.

I want to come upp a bit from the low seat, i dont have any comfy problem

Airhawk seats would not be good to give you more height, unless you air up until it is uncomfortable. The Airhawks are designed so that you are riding on a very thin cushion of air. They are super comfortable but I dont believe it would be your best option if all you want to do is raise your seat height. Maybe someone else will have a better idea??!!

I paid $137.00 for the Roho Air Hawk a couple of years ago. The air hawk 2 was listed at $85.00.  It has a hole that is in a bad spot to patch. I looked online for a new one. Now all they have is the air hawk 2. They jacked up the price on that to $107.00. By Roho's own website stated that it was thinner and lighter (cheaper) than the original Air Hawk. Also a new or renamed company is selling it. I am now concerned  about the quality.

I think you are on to something.
Today i tried the airhawk 2 medium and it was no good.
I started with it full and lowered i 2 more times with air.
I kind a floated around it and it kept on moving forward
It didnt stay in place so after 5 km i took it off.
So, it didnt do what i was hoping for, maybe the orginal (nr1) is better?

There is kind of a learning curve to get the right air pressure and position. Ideally the cushion should feel almost flat when it is inflated and you should be floating on about a half inch of air when seated. Lower is better. I have the original so I cannot comment on the newer ones.
