Technical | How To / 5w40 synthetic oil ?

I did put it in yesterday. in hope to achieve higher top end (which it did not). but engine feels smoother during acceleration.
Wondering if this will cause any issues....

Technical | How To / got new carb - had to remove evap (CA only?) system

I figured it is easier to put a new 20usd carb in, then clean the old one. what I did not realize that new carb has no evap connector. this comes from the tank. btw, dumbest thing ever, I see first hand how stupid gov regulations make things more expensive (pretty sure scoot would be 50$ cheaper without this).
so I disconnected everything, and let the hoses hang freely, thing runs great. I suppose this won't cause any problems in terms of performance?

guys, look at the pic. where is it??? did it fall out? how does this scooter even go? would this mean that it runs super rich? I can't get it above 52mph, would that explain it?

Super 8 150 / CVT rollers top speed question

I replaced my CVT roller to 12 Gram which I ordered a while ago to increase acceleration (which it did  very slightly). my top end is exactly 52mph.
since I moved to the country side, I need better top end instead of acceleration.
what weight should I buy? how much difference can it make?
when I got my kymco new, I could go 55 easily, after 4 years or so, i barely get to 52. another reasons for this? the tension on my throttle cable  is good.

Super 8 150 / headlight problem - ideas welcome

headlight, regardless which setting, does not work while scooter is driving, but turns on, when I come to a stop while it is running. then when accelerating again, it does turn off again.
Also, secondary problem, is that while idling, the headlight will 'pulsate' meaning it will get brighter and darker  every couple seconds.
I have also a third problem, with the indicator lights not working, it appears to be a switch problem to me, when switch is activated, nothing happens, no clicking sound, and no indicator light.

OK. i am done with the stock mirrors. lane splitting (CA) in city traffic is a nightmare. worse then on my r6.
anything which you have tested? not looking for spending 100usd either

Super 8 150 / mirror replacement for lane splitting

the factory mirrors on the s8 150 drive me nuts while lane splitting L.A. traffic. Considering taking them off
anybody got a working alternative? and don't come me with this don't lane split crap unless you live here and sit in traffic all day

what are the common things to check/service?
the scooter does have an delayed acceleration, like something is holding its back. once you give full throttle it will rush abruptly forward and at some point drive normally.
it is just the initial acceleration from a stop.

Super 8 150 / carburetor overflow hose?

after taking off and putting on the back tire, i noticed a tube which is hanging down by the air filter, which doesn't plug into anything. i'm worried that i detached it from somewhere, but i can't find any place where it would fit. the scooter runs.
see attached picture. i went through the service manual but it is hard to see if its this one

i marked the tube in yellow.

Super 8 150 / rear tire size

i need to replace rear tire. the current tire shows the following:
120/80-14 m/c 58r
however according to anything I can find on google, this size comes only as a 'front' tire, while the rear tires are all different (can't find rear tire with the size above)
did anybody replace rear-tires here? what size/model did you get

i know what the manual says. the problem is that me and my wife do weigh around 400pounds together which is 100more then what they say.
