Thanks! This is going to come in handy!!!!!!
-
Hey slinger, you going to buy the malossi kit? I might get it too if you try it first, lol.
If anything i'm going to pick up the NCY kit which is almost half the price.
-
..i know right!!!
..i haven't found a US supplier of the malossi kit yet...
..i like the polini too tho..it's a front-runner right now...
..the airsal kit shaka put on his bitch has worked well for him, and it's much less expensive...
...i'm ssso confused...
..i got 5 benjamins to spend, and i want to make sure i ain't gonna throw it out th' window..
..i depend on my scoot for my livelyhood...i gotta have my ducks in a row when i start this..
..can't have any unexpected surprises...
:-\
-
Do you need to do any machining to that airsal kit? B/c of the difference in diameter?
Or is it just plug and play??
-
...it should be plug-n-play...so to speak...
...maybe i should look at it again...
..what did you see??
-
Service manual states on page 8-1, that the cylinder diameter is 50mm. Airsal diameter is 47.5, so idk.
Wheres shaka when you need him?
-
..i've had that manual for nearly a year...
..one duck steps in line...
..thanx shubonker!!!....
-
Bore x stroke (mm) φ39.0 x 41.4..
...page 1-2 of tha A50 service manual...
-
Pretty sure this is what we need:
http://www.mhr-usa.com/cylinder-kits/50mm/airsal-50mm-4-stroke-cylinder-kit-for-kymco-vitality4t-people-s-50-agility-50.html (http://www.mhr-usa.com/cylinder-kits/50mm/airsal-50mm-4-stroke-cylinder-kit-for-kymco-vitality4t-people-s-50-agility-50.html)
Specifically list agility 50 4t. And its 50mm. I think shaka uses 47.5mm kit b/c he's got a zx50 which may be a little different.
-
Specifically list agility 50 4t.
..so did the other.......
-
Hmm, you're right. I sent provoscooter an email to see whats up. Until then, lets see if shaka's got an answer for us.
-
..shaka don't do 4-strokes....
-
Here I am! ;D I don't do four strokes sorry man! I doubt you have to do any machining to get the kit to fit though. It should just fit right on. I see where it says that the diameter is 50mm. I know on the 2T's the skirt of the cylinder just gets thinner as the bore diameter goes up. I would assume the same on yours
-
I may be off track here but it seems you are talking about the cylinder bore size, it doesn't matter if it is 47.5 or 50mm, that will only alter your cc in the end. I guess it depends on what size you want to go for.
Should fit either way.
-
...sweet..when it comes to all this cylinder upgrading, imma learning...
-
Sid- I believe in the manual it is referring to the opening into the crankcase. The cylinder bore size is 39 mm. Seems a bit small, but Idk. I just measure the OD of my stock cylinder skirt and it is 54 mm so I know my crankcase opening is about 55-56 mm.
-
...i think 39 might be about right for 49.5 cc...
..there's a formula....what is it..dammit..
-
Sorry, my mistake.
-
..no worries, mate...
..i have always wanted to say that...lol...
-
Cylinder Volume = Pi R2 ;)
-
Cylinder Volume = Pi R2
...pies was made to be eat'n....
..and they're round, not square...
-
So i guess its between the 70cc or 80cc, i'm leaning towards 80cc myself. Dont know about you slinger.
-
...yeaaaahhhh..i don't ...need a lot of ...speed....damn near ok with that....dang...
..i need a another year or so, along with the speed increase...
-
Come again?
-
..i can already hit top speeds of some 72 cc kits..
...there, i said it...
..what i DO need is the ability (guilty) to haul my ass up these damned hills at 45-50 mph...gps...
-
We have both kinds, round aand square , and yep, theyre both made fer eatin. Think 50 cruise. Hey, the other scoots will be drafting you. :-)
-
.....yup, that's what i'm screamin'.......lmao...they do already....
-
If you're already doing what others are doing with 72cc kits, than just imagine how much more power you'll get when you do get a 70cc kit. 8)
Cars on the road will be at your mercy!
Almost.
-
I don't think a kit it's made for speed , i'ts made for power ,which you could to transform in speed with other upgrades (smaler ratio on gear, that NCY transmition kit if it have bigger surface on variator and driver pulley and with a bigger belt of corse it will give you more speed ...etc )
-
The one thing you guys are forgetting is a kit that runs JUST a new jug is going to have the same breathing charistics as the original jug. (for the most part) You would have better performance by getting a better head/cam on the stock jug as you would be altering the amount of air/fuel you can cycle. The HEAD is the important factor in a 4t. The jug is just something to mount it on. That's why the polini head is the same cost as the jug kit. The important measurements for the jug are the OD, and depth of the cylinder skirts. They need to clear the conrod, and fit the cases.
