Wow just saw your reply, never got an email!

The speedometer does not work at any speed, and the odometer no longer turns as well.

Oh boy. It is always a bit of time between changes, and I totally forgot to run the engine a bit to warm it all up. after that, it came off easily. Found the answer to my drain bolt issue on ebay:  http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=gy6+oil+drain

Bet & Win 250 / Bet & Win 250 Speedometer

The other day I was pulling out from a stoplight and cornering rather quickly. I looked down, and my speedometer was at 0. I must have dislodged something, because the speedometer no longer works. I've heard that the cable near the wheel is usually more likely to come lose, but a quick inspection didn't reveal anything. Thoughts on what to try next?

Bet & Win 250 / Bet & Wn 250 Oil Drain Plug

Went to change the oil today, and the drain plug was a bit stuck. I pulled a bit too hard, and the bolt is pretty stripped now. Anyone know where I can find a replacement, and get the stuck bolt off?

See this post for the service manual: http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=6636.0

Doesn't seem to mention what the buttons do; I did the same thing Nigel suggested, but only recently did I find out how to change the temperature.

On this topic, are anyone else's gauges way off? Temperature is okay, but once read 99 F when it was only 70 F outside, and it almost always reads 55 F when I leave the house. Fuel gauge is completely messed up, and after 2 bars (out of 10), I am at half a tank. The last 5 bars seem to be only 1/4 of the tank. The speedometer is about 10 MPH slow (I have to go 50 MPH on the speedo to actually go 40), and the clock loses time after a couple weeks (says 3:00 when it is really 3:10, etc).

Found this in scribd, thought it might be useful for others: Kymco BW250 Service Manual

Very useful, everything matches my 2005 model.
