Still trying to post the pictures of some of my mods. You will have to enlarge to see them well. These are on my DT 300i.

Technical | How To / Fuel Tank relocation for a DT 300i
« on: November 14, 2016, 03:55:39 AM »
This might already be on here. I called myself reading thru everything, but I could have missed it. I have been thinking about pulling the fuel tank out of the floor and putting under the seat. Probably sounds like a silly idear, but I have some hip and lower back problems that make it hard for me to get my foot over the "hump" where the tank resides. I wish I had bought a GT 300i People now, because me and that flat step-thru sure would get along much better. I've already got the DT 300i amd I've put all the other mods on it, that I wanted and it's a good bike. If I could just get rid of that hump, it would a Perfect bike. I can handle the modification okay, but I was concerned about placing that much weight up that high. It would surely move the CG. I've already put a heavy tool pouch up there and haven't notice any difference in handling. The tools are only for the test and would come out if the tank or a tank goes in there. Any idears?? Thanks gang.

« on: November 12, 2016, 01:02:09 AM »
If someone could explain to me I can attach pictures from My Documents to my post. I can pull the pics up and hit "add Images" but no pics are uploaded? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Downtown 300 / 2012 Kymco DT 300i
« on: November 11, 2016, 09:26:42 PM »
Hi newbie here. I'm Ole Two Wheels. Just got a 2012 Kymco Downtown 300i and  the seating was a mess, but I already knew about it, because I had researched it on this forum. So I made some mods to the scoot and they have made it much better. Took me a while to locate some steel to attach to, so I thought I'd post a few pics to maybe help some one else. The pictures are of poor quality, but maybe you can see what I did. I have owned two Silverwings and a bunch of motorcycles. Been riding for 57 years. Last year, I broke my left hip and then had the right one replaced and so I decide it was time to hang my helmet up. Soooooo, I sold my geezer glide and the wing. Then this fall, when the weather got really nice, I started having them ole feelings, you know, want to get my knees back in the breeze. Yelp, you know what I mean. I was really impressed by this little 300i. I thought it'd be to slow for me...hee hee, this bike is darn near as good as the Silverwings were. No red light embarrassment here. Good power and acceleration .
I'm thinking, I've got me a keeper here. Doesn't look like the attachments got on. May need some instructions on adding pictures????
