Title: Fuel pump
Post by: Wando on December 11, 2017, 09:47:30 PM
I'm thinking of picking up a 2011 kymco mxu irs 500cc atv.  The guy thinks the fuel pump is gone, has anyone had problem with fuel pump and if so where can I guy get one

I would have to wonder if the guy thinks that is the problem why he doesn't install a fuel pump first. Wouldn't it be so much easier to sell an AYV running than broken down? Wouldn't it be worth so much more money running than not?  It may be that simple but I would ponder a guess the odds are stacked against you.

Brat is on to something! I agree with him! Run! Or beat the guy so low he cries...

Fuel pump is easy enough to check, but even simpler.....crank it for 20 seconds then pull the plug to see if it's wet.

If it's a 2011 it has a carburetor. I don't believe it has a fuel pump since the tank sits above the carb.
Pull the fuel line off the petcock on the carb side and check for fuel flow. Rotate the petcock handle to all positions and check for flow.
