Title: Odometer...miles or Km?
Post by: martyf250 on February 05, 2013, 04:30:14 PM
Stupid question...the speedometer shows both MPH and Km/hr.

Is the Odometer in Km or miles? i don;t recall seeing it anywhere in the user manual.

It probably depends on your location. If you are in the US it would be miles. At least it is on the Like 200i   Len

In case anyone is still unsure, usually the speedometer measures in both units, but one dominant unit will have the bigger numbers and markings. The odometer is measured in the dominant unit.

i.e. on a US bike, if the miles per hour markings are bigger than the kilometers per hour markings on the speedometer face, then the odometer reads in miles.

My Exciting 500 has KM as the dominate numbers.  I live in Florida so I'm doing some quick conversions in guesswork all the time.   ::)

One of those odd things I guess.
