These things don't like any throttle when starting. Cold or hot. Even with my new carb and cylinder it still rarely needs any throttle to start.

My 2t needs throttle to start, and my 4t floods if I give it throttle. I can't start either one drunk.

Its better! Started great on Sat and Monday morning but 5 times plus at night. Ok again Tues and tonight was ok.

Weather is getting better so may be helping. Will see what its like when we get rain.

Thanks, guys, will try no throttle.

I pressed the start button on my Kymco Monday morning and it jammed on!!

Even after turning the ignition off and removing the key, the starter was still turning over?? I had to disconnect the positive battery terminal to get it to stop!

This is the second time this has happened in the last year, and when the dealer collects the bike and connects the battery there is no problem?? I left it 24 hours and when I connected the battery again it turned over with no key??  Dealer collects bike after another 24 hours and works fine?

Does anyone have any ideas whats wrong? Would changing the starter motor fix it?  I just to get it working so I can sell it now as I have had enough of these problems :(

It's either the switch is sticking inside (wd40 will clear it) or the relay is arching shut. Get a new Bosch 30 amp relay to replace your OEM (much cheaper, and in all auto parts stores)

Contacted Kymco UK directly and they are also saying its an intermittently sticking starter relay and will send my dealer a new one today and replace it under warranty!

Hope this sorts it?

Getting my bike back today as its working at the moment and I hate buses!! and will take it back to dealer next Thursday when on my day off.

Thanks for the replys

Keep us informed Micoman... It's one big scooting family up in here... Every post helps (except most of mine, and all of Axy's)
