My apologies for not finding anything relevant using the search engine....
My starter clutch is slowly but surely going south and I'll have to get around to opening up the right side of the engine to change it out.
I was just wondering if the standard 27mm x1 mm left hand thread puller will work for removing the flywheel and the same thing for the 27mm castle nut tool for unbolting the starter clutch itself ?
I haven't got the scooter with me as it's currently parked at my parent's in a faraway European country where I can't open it up and check for myself quite yet.
I'll be buying these in the meantime, unless someone tells me I'm very wrong :

Took my People 300i to get a new rear tire installed.
They are having an issue getting the swing arm off of the axle.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't remember when was the last time I rode 2 up on my scoot.
So yesterday I picked up a friend that left his scoot at the shop for meintainence.
We took off and about 1/2 km later the engine stated stumbling and shut off.
We coasted a bit and got off the road, and it didn't want to start. Checked the spark plugs cap, but it wasn't loose, nothing was leaking, the starter was spinning the engine. After a few minutes of head scratching it stated again.
We continued but it soon started stumbling again.
It was still working, but very badly.
I told my friend to get off, and everything was ok again!
I left him, went home, got into my car and picked him up.
Today rode alone for 40km, no issues.
Is my scooter jealous and wants me to ride alone on it, or just laisy and doesn't want an extra 90kg on it? [emoji54][emoji3]
Ok, it's seems like a fueling problem, but the only thing that comes to mind is that my friend is kinda heavy and the seat pressed on the fuel cap when sitting. Is that even possible? The fuel tank was almost full at the time.
Any ideas before I dig in?

Ok here's an update I checked my valves and they were in excellent working condition and the only dilemma I have should the intake be set at
.004 and the exhaust .005 or .004 for intake and .004 for exhaust :"Note my carb is a 28mm also I have a shorty muffler"..... I notice after trying to start the engine it tries to turn over but "no go" and I also notice there's no fuel flow to the carburetor. The wierd thing I checked the fuel pump by adding vacuum to the vacuum hose and it had fuel flow. I then removed the fuel hose to the carb and applied vacuum to the vac house and I had fuel flow then reconnected the fuel house to the carb and again I applied vacuum to the vac hose and no fuel flow to the carb..I need big time suggestion..

Anybody know what size vario bushing goes on the 2007 kymco super 9? I ordered from scootertuning.ca and they sent me one with an inside diameter of 12mm. I told them I need the 14 and they are giving me trouble. So i had to put the stock restricted one back in. Suggestions?!

Until recently I had Dr.Pulley 13g sliders in my scoot.
They were in there for a bit over 15000km.
Still were ok, but wanted to try a lighter set to see if it will improve the low RPM acceleration.
Found a set of 12g KOSO sliders on www.aliexpress.com for 9.70$.
The price was suspiciously low, but ordered them anyway.
Got them 2 weeks ago and put them in.
In the beginning the scoot did feel more lively at low RPM and it did feel it was pulling better, but a few days ago getting the scoot up the revs from a start was really bad. Really bad...
Oped it up today and found the reason.
The sliders look terrible, as you can see on the pictures, and they were in only 640km!!!
So don't buy cheap KOSO sliders from AliExpress!
Put in the old Dr.Pulley sliders back in until I get a new set.
Changed the belt today too.
It was from Bando, still looked ok, but decided to change it. (picture)
It had 12700km.

When i was at mechanic for usual maintenance , my mechanic closed with adeshive tape the secondary air filter. Is that normal?? I think not ! The motor run as usual no change....

Initially I had issues getting her to start consistently on a daily basis. So I stopped by local scooter shop and the guy told me that the choke in these struggles with temperature sometimes. So he showed me how I could manually choke it by covering the air intake. And that solved my problem of not starting every few days for a few weeks long.
Fast forward to the past week or so and I am having to do that every day, and now once she purrs up she will only stay running it I hold it at partial rev. Once I get going I'm fine. But if I stop at a light and let off the gas she dies.
I was hoping for some input on if this is a choke issue still, or something else? And if it is choke, what other options do I have? Can I bypass or unplug the electric choke or install an old-school pull choke?

To keep this simple, what I mainly need to know is whether 2011 Super 8 150 parts will fit on a 2013, or were there any major changes between those two models.
I just purchased a 2013 and noticed that the light assembly for the license plate is a little wonky. It works but is loose, and there are some cracks in it. I found a site that sells parts (www.kymcopartsmonster.com), but it lists them as being for a 2011. Will that work?

After a week of owning our first scooters, and some delays due to an overwhelmed DMV, my wife and I were finally able to take our bikes out for their maiden voyages. Well, I purchased used, so my 2013 Super 8 150 has been around the block a few times. But, my wife's 2018 Like 200i is fresh off the line. This was our first time riding motorbikes on actual streets, with actual moving cars. We mainly stayed in our surrounding neighborhood just to build our comfort level, but man did we have a blast. There's a stretch that allowed us to get up to about 45-50 mph, and both scooters did this effortlessly. Is it possible to install a GPS/phone mount on a 2013 Super 8 150? I was hoping to be able to use something that can be easily removed when I don't need it, like the phone mount I use on my bicycle handlebars, but I don't see anywhere that it could go. Any thoughts/suggestions welcomed. Also, if it is possible, what brand/model do you recommend? Thanks!

Hi all,
Parked my 2013 people 300i for 2 weeks and now it takes about full minute if cranking to start. Once it starts it runs well. This occurs when I restart after about 1 minute stopped as well.
Any one had this happen to them an can point me in the right direction?

Hi guys.
As some would know, about three weeks ago my DT200 blew out it's con-rod bearing at 84000kms. It wasn't worth to have it repaired to get it back on the road and it was also it's third breakdown in 2019 alone.
Well, I have moved onto a new platform. A 2019 Yamaha X-Max.

When the wheel is on the drive shaft and pushed it all the way it wobbles, it's not firmly on the splines.
When I put everything back in and torque the nut to value in the manual the wobble is still there as you can see in the video.

I bought this 2014 super 8 150 from a friend, its had a Yoshi pipe and the right jet upgrades to the carb. The first time I rode it I got about 2 miles and it went dead turned over a few times then stopped turning over, not like the battery went dead just stopped. Another find came by, but before I could get the jumper cables on, I tried it and it started up and I drove it back home. So now Everytime it goes dead usually it will continue to turn over, but occasionally not, but if I wait 15 minutes, it'll start back up and I can drive it home, I've replaced the cdi and the ignition coil, it still does the same thing. I have a 2016 uxv700 turf model and when you put it on forwards or reverse and try to give it gas it makes a horrible noise as it goes to move. I have read that they have problems with the bevel gears coming untorqued and also found a service bulletin on it. I'm currently in the process of pulling the rear diff out to try to narrow this problem down to see if it's coming from the diff or in the engine. I guess my question is have any of you ran into this or heard about it? The noise sounds like it could bust through the cases at anytime.

Hi folks. After 15 years working and living abroad we are back in our home in Bisbee, Arizona. Between landing in San Francisco and home I picked up a Kymco X-Town (2018, 4500 miles). It's a gorgeous bike. I wonder whether there might an X-Town thread in the future or are there just too few of us.

Hi everyone. New to the forum from the UK. Got a little Kymco K-Pipe that's starting to gather dust. Bought it a few months ago and haven't got round to fixing it up yet. It's a little beat up, only got round to taking the motor out for a piston and valve seal change. There is some damage to the bike which includes bent forks (luckily got some spare though a few millimeters taller) and the worst bit for me is the broken rear light. Worst for me seeing as I can't find any cheap in the UK and for me it's not worth tipping a lot of money into. Though hands on work I'm not afraid of. My thought is fibreglass and smooth out the tail to fit a smaller universal brake light that sets me back less than £10. Just wondering if anyone has one of these that they've damaged and done some modifications to make up for it? Or any other ideas? Don't see many of these on the roads here at all. Maybe for good reason considering the state of the low mileage engine and overall condition of other parts considering its a 2015 plate, but can safely say I've worked on much worse. I have a small motorcycle workshop, can view it on insta or Facebook using my username above if interested. There's a picture attached of how it was bought. Anyone know about a "cockpit" and whether I can drive w out it? which he said I could because he by passed... Am I gonna mess it up if I drive before I can order 1 and does anyone know its technical term and use?

Ok so the the belt needs to be bigger right? As well as the boss variator needs to be changed and I should show some gains? New carb, exhaust, air box, and slider weights only got me 40 and I'd like 50 have a 70cc malossi cylinder kit but may not use it... Also is it possible my variator didnt have a restriction because I dont notice a shoulder on the outside? If no shoulder then do I still get a new one to change the length and if so what length should I get?

I love my xciting. Rode it to the top of Petit Jean mountain today, and I really hate the thought of selling it. Unfortunately, being on Medicaid, I'm limited to one vehicle, and I'm thinking about something I can travel in for longer distances and in any weather. I could always pick up a 50cc scooter for just zipping around on. Anyway, it's an 09 X500Ri with about 4900 miles, new battery, new Shinko rear tire and unmounted front. It also has a Shad topcase and a backrest, and bar-end mirrors.
Now the bad... It was laid down before I bought it, so the plastic heat shield on the muffler is broken, and the emblem on that side could stand replacing. Paint damage is minimal. The Givi windshield is broken, and the front brake lever is bent. I'd have replaced the windshield already, but it seems nobody in the US has one. I was planning on buying short brake levers to eliminate any rubbing on the mirrors.
That's about it. What would be a fair price on it? I'm located in Perryville, Arkansas.

I've had a check engine light on my 2009 X500Ri since I bought it back in May. Never so much as a hiccup, so I wasn't worried, but I wanted it off. Tried the ignition on/throttle open/throttle closed sequence tonight, and it worked like a charm. Rode about 40 miles tonight, and it hasn't come back on yet...(knock on wood) ;)

Checked for spark no spark. Bought a new spark plug got spark but than it wouldn't give me spark again.
Put in a new ignition coil and wire got spark started for a few seconds and died no spark again.
Now I let it sit for about a week until I got my new CDI so I got that tonight installed it ran longer than it has about 20 secs and then died. Had good spark when I tested it first time then after engine ran for that short period of time no spark again.
I am at a loss why am I getting spark sometimes and why does it start sometimes but than nothing.

Im pretty sure its an air issue but i put a Mallossi BBK and style pro(dellorto clone) 19mm carb leo vince Zx exhaust exhaust and tuner pod air filter... The bbk most recent mod and for some reason the reeds for mallossi dont match the holes on the kymco reed valves it over laps but doesnt match exactly.. Is it possible this may be my problem when i blow air in w air compressor fires right up only thing i can tell could it may be.. If so do i change the intake or what can i do to fix the problem?

Have been trying to get my super 8 50cc 2t started but its not happening.. First i thought it wasnt getting any gas to the carb but i believe its getting enough to start it... Any suggestions on what it may be compression is a little low calls for 100lbs and im at 90lbs been told though that once started that would be ok but im by far no mechanic and this is my first scooter...

I've decided to sell my 500Ri ABS. It's pearl white, with about 8800 miles, and it has a large Shad top case, a new Givi touring windshield, bar end mirrors, red short billet levers, and a custom backrest made from the butt pad. I have new tires, front and rear, that I'm going to have mounted this week.
The bike was laid down by the previous owner, so it has a broken heat shield on the muffler, and some fairly minimal scratching. The side cover on the right side is cracked from the application of my big right foot (I'm disabled, and misjudged).
I love this scooter, and it's been my sole form of transportation for the last several months. It had 3500 miles on it when I bought it last May. I'm only selling it to buy a smaller scooter, as it won't be my only transportation any longer.

Scoot died on me in the middle of the road last week. Luckily I was going downhill, so coasted to the first bus stop.
Lights were on, the engine was turning.
Took the cover to see the spark plug. The connector was off, and the plug was loose???
Didn't touch the plug since it was put in last Summer.
Unscrewed the plug completely (hot!), and it looked ok, light brown color.
Screwed it back in, connector on, has to fire up immediately, right?
Well...no...
Out of ideas at the time, and no tools, left it there, and called a friend with a van to pick it up and bring it home.
The next day took the Tupperware off and put in a new plug just to be sure. Didn't start.
Checked the fuel flow, and it was ok. The engine was turning so it had to be something electrical.
Had an ignition coil at hand, so tried changing that. Fired right up!
Couldn't see anything unusual on the faulty coil, but it wasn't working.
Can't find a connection between the loose plug, plug connector being off, and coil failing at the same time. Anybody have an idea?
Since the plastics were off did a valve check.

Hey I am having trouble keeping my seat locked. When I am ridding I can feel the seat pop up and also with the right tug I can open it without a key.
I was just going to replace the assembly but I can't seem to find the part for my bike or if someone know how to adjust it?

I'm selling my 2009 XCiting 500Ri ABS 8940 miles, new Givi windshield in December, Shad SH45 top case, short billet levers, bar end mirrors. Previous owner dropped it on the right side and cracked the plastic heat shield on the muffler. I broke the right side cover with my big right foot. I live the scooter, but it's not my primary transportation anymore, and with my disabilities, i'd ike to downsize.
I have two new tires for it. If I have them mounted, the price is $2000. If I give you the tires and you have them mounted, the price is $1800.

Heres my 2016 700 i just purcjased brand new in may (dealer had leftovers from another dealers foreclosure). Very impressed over all but finding aftermarket parts for a 700 is next to impossible.
Mods so far:
Clearly tough folding windshield
Shockpro full doors
Shockpro rear window
Polaris 3500lb winch
Led headlights
Homemade roof
4g kolpin gas can with mounts in bed
Cheapo ebay mirrors
28" mudlite tires
Will be adding a 40" lightbar, led pods (both front and rear), stereo, and windshield wiper
Would love to find a 2" lift and a better roof but they're proving harder to come by.
Pic was taken this weekend at 4 corners in Eureka, AK. Rolling with a 4 seater turbo rzr, highlifter rzr, and ranger. Kept up just fine all weekend.

Found a couple of pins in the bottom of the cover. Took out that clutch of whatever it is and found where the pins go. Now looks like there's some bearings missing too, correct?? Can i buy those somewhere? How should i proceed?

I installed tecnigas next r exhaust and it doesn't do wheelies anymore because the peak power is so high that i cant lift it anymore.
Should i change variator rolls to get peak power to lower rpm?

My Grandvista250 has all of a sudden stopped wanting to accelerate. I was getting on the freeway and it wouldn't so faster then 55 mph. Ive got a 2016 Kymco agility 50 dc cdi getting a negative reading from the B/Y wire on cdi the black wire on the 2 pin is 12.83v , Cdi pickup coil reads .02. New coil, new dc cdi. New dc stator, all lights work. The cdi wires 2 pin black 12.80v, 4 wire plug B/Y WIRE to coil
Key on, comes up with a - reading, The blue wire that goes to pick up coil .02 new plug, still no spark.

Ive got a 2016 Kymco agility 50 dc cdi getting a negative reading from the B/Y wire on cdi the black wire on the 2 pin is 12.83v , Cdi pickup coil reads .02. New coil, new dc cdi. New dc stator, all lights work. The cdi wires 2 pin black 12.80v, 4 wire plug B/Y WIRE to coil
Key on, comes up with a - reading, The blue wire that goes to pick up coil .02v, new plug, still no spark. Kill switch checks out.

I have a new agilty r16+.I have been having problems starting the machine.
Today I tried to to start it four times eventually started but celp light stayed on.I got it home turned off engine started up machine celp stayed on.Turned it off started engine again now celp is off.
Any help or advice on this please.

It would set and idle all day long but when i take it out for a drive it dies out after 10 to 15 minutes of riding and will not start back up unless i used starting fluid. So after the third time of only getting 10 minutes of drive time it wouldnt even attempt to start even with starting fluid. i disassembled the carb and cleaned it real good then reassembled. it still won't hit a lick even with the starting fluid. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

But after about 10 minutes of drive time it would die and would not start back up without the help of starting fluid. After the third stall out it wouldn't even start back up with starting fluid. I took apart the carb and cleaned it then put it back on and still no luck getting it started even with starting fluid. Any ideas?
