love it!
« on: March 29, 2019, 08:03:44 PM »
A new poster on the Vespa forum has a Vespa - but no keys.

Wants to know how to get keys for his Vespa, and does "not want to go to a dealer"!
Just heard a policeman in a UK video say that a Vespa is stolen every 5 mins.
From what I've read - that is not much of an exaggeration.

The electronic no-run gizmos on new Vespas aren't slowing the thefts one bit.
Trackers seem to be the only way to get one back - until it is taken again....sometimes violently. (which is the best way to defeat the no-start system.....take it out from under the owner)

Just no sense in trying to own a Vespa in London.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

When I lived in Italy, I borrowed my friends Scarabeo and the key snapped when I was sitting down. I pulled off the front panel, pulled the starter and used a screwdriver to switch to starter to on....it was too easy... I wonder if this could be done on the new vespas…
