Title: NSR. Riding some ginormous beasts.
Post by: klaviator on November 12, 2023, 07:03:51 PM
The India Demo truck came to town so I went and rode some.

This thing was FAAAAAST!

Most of the other bikes I rode were Huuuge and had a price tag to match.

My favorite of the day was this Challenger.

It was lighter and faster than the other ginormous beasts.

I liked this one so much I rode it twice.  Will I buy one?   Are you kidding!! Did you look at the MSRP?

This one was less than Ginormous.

After I finished the Demo rides I got on my 290 pound, 13 HP Like 150i and rode home.   Quite a contrast!

Have to be the first one pictured for me Klav.  That is one good looking machine!

That FTR was the one I went there to ride.  It was incredibly powerful and I'm glad I had the chance to ride it but it wasn't comfortable at low speed (under 60MPH) and it was buzzy.  I actually enjoyed riding the Challenger more.  Maybe if I had the chance to ride them both in the mountains, not city traffic, I would feel differently.

I do agree with you the the FTR is a great looking bike!

I was on my Rebel under a storefront awning waiting out the rain, when a guy on a brand new 1800 cc Indian pulled up.  It was comical how small the Rebel was in comparison.   But I was not jealous in the least.

Under 60mph is slow?   Not many places you can ride without speeding.
