Hey Hey friends it is Scooter girl here with a couple questions.
First how much is to much mileage on the 300 Downtown? Every bike is different I imagine and also depending on how well the bike is taken care of will it last.
My other question is for my friend who I sold my little 50 cc to a few years ago now. :) The bike has always went an easy 70 km an hour and she say's for a few months now it will not go past about 50km an hour and seems to struggle at that stage like it is working hard. Something like that. Anyway, wonder what maybe the issue with that. They looked at many areas to try to figure it out.
:D :D

As for my bike I mean how many miles can the bike go before it is to old and wore out. :)

Hello Nireen and welcome to the knowledge bowl of the Kymco world, otherwise known as the Kymco forum. Lots and lots of good information collectively found here, concerning Kymco vehicles Not trying to be a wise guy, but to answer your question on how much mileage is to much on a DT300i. The only correct answer would be, when the rod breaks or seizes on the crank shaft and that won't happen unless it is run without oil. With proper maintenance, I would guess 80 to 100K would not be out of the question. Cheers

Wow this is great to know. I love my bike very much and want it to go for a very long time. I got my bike last April and within 6 months I had 10,000 km's on it. I will be putting that much on it again this summer!! :D

Scootin is fun, I agree. I've been riding two wheels for 63 years now and the enjoyment has never ebbed. I've owned just about every brand of motorcycle made, at one time or other in my life and I've had two Honda Silverwings and have ridden up to 700 miles per day on some trips. Rode the last SW to the Dragon's tail in the Great Smoky Mountains. It is nearly 300 hundred curves and hair pins in eleven miles. Biker's from all over the U.S. come to ride on it. I started getting old and falling apart so I down sized to my current DT300i. It is a great bike. Can cruise at 60 to 70 mph all day or just ride around here on the country roads. Don't think I'll every need anything any bigger. Very good mount and very dependable. Pretty much on par with the Japanese scoots, I'd say. So put you mind at rest and keep your knees in the breeze. Ride safely.

I have done 52,000km on my DT300i. Other than regular servicing and minor repairs, it has been very dependable and gets me to work every day.

Wonderful to hear this! :)
