Nearly every store front and building in these pictures of my small Ohio downtown needs a tenant.
This is downtown, mind you.

That way across the country. Most small town businesses are unable to compete with Wal-Mart and Amazon. The idea of "niche" businesses has not occured to most. Tim Horton's is a good example of such a business. Ya can't get that from Amazon. People will go miles out of their way for a great restaurant like Hagy's on the Tennessee River. CB shops are dotted along major truck routes. Taxes and regulations do wear people down. Maybe that will change. How 'bout a Cycle Gear or Competition Accessories near some of us?

Nice pictures of your little scooter in that sullen retail sector of your town.
It is probably that scooter itself which is representative of the circumstances.
The factory workers who built it are supporting the entire range of service businesses close to their own home.
Our choices have great impact when we do not purchase domestic products.
I do not see how we can prosper as a service economy.
Our young people will have a difficult row to hoe.
This has been a failure of governance.

Stig, may I join in on your small town murica thread?
Do you folks do that sort of thing here?
This is small town Farmer's Market on the Pacific Rim.
I'd probably consider a swap of the Yellow Rocket for an equivalent Kymco with 3k miles...
First time I ever had a trunk ! It would hold more ! :-)

Ah missing my Helix again.
-
Came really close to buying a Helix and drove over to Dallas to test ride one. I think at the time, I didn't get a nod from Deb to be able to buy it. It wasn't that she didn't like it but it was not scooter buying time for us at the time (for me but not her). Sure am glad though I got the nod on the SW and Kymco.

Why does this sound like the voice of experience?

I paid dearly for the Helix because it was 30yrs old, and only had 3k miles on it...
Wanted one since I first saw a fellow ride into work on one, many years back.
And, the thought of "a barcalounger on wheels" was too much to resist. lol
Gosh ! Why did it have to be brite yellow ! :-)
I expect I shall sell it off when I get my People 250 operational. I like the larger wheels.
Not really any expectations of extended rides, which might be why I enjoy those vids and collections of photos other riders present!
