You are VERY lucky Bro! One 9g run and you may have been SHOT. I ALMOST bought a Naraku torque drive set last night. I forgot I paid another bill early, and the card didn't go thru... GREAT thing.  I'll get the Polini instead. Glad you didn't get blasted, and I didn't get the set

That is EXACTLY what I was planning. I looked close (zoom) and the pulleys looked OEM?

...pay close attention when assembling the clutch...'course you know this...

..i was going to run my stage6 bell with this clutch and pulley set...would not work...

..the outter edge of the tourque driver pulley would touch the edge of the bell, when fully open...

..i aways hand-test these things when i mix and match parts from different manufacturers...

...looks like i need to machine @ 5mm off the bell....

You may want to also double check that the drive belt isn't riding up over the edge of the variator.  I've had this happen when really squeezing some of the CVT's for every last drop.  With the wider belt, I wouldn't be surprised if it's happening.  I have a bunch of chopped up CVT covers that I use to fit to the bike and rev up on the stand so I can watch the CVT work to make sure nothing crazy is going to happen (like hitting the starter bendix on the Agility 50).  It sounds silly, but it's interesting to watch the CVT work when you hook up a timing light and flash it at the belt.  The "stop motion" of watching under a strobe might lend a different perspective...  Nothing ground breaking or whatever, it's just neat to watch.

I don't think some of the parts manufacturers do a lot of R&D on their product.  I can post up some examples when I get some good time at the computer...  So far I haven't had a chance to post up my photos and videos of the races, so... Might be a while. :/

..i can see from measurements that the wider belt was riding very much over the vari..apparently, by 2mm...

..probably what caused the aluminum drive face to fracture like it did...

..i've held my starter before, fired my a50 and watched the cvt work, and yeah...it is VERY interesting...

..would love to strobe it!!!

..waitin' on those twist-n-gones!!!

My Delta clutch was hitting the pulley about 1/2 way down from the edge. I wound up modifying the clutch, and using a 2mm shim under the clutch. You are right... Not too much R&D for OEM fitment.
WE WANT PICTS> J. I really like the thread w/ you & Slowrider.
