Go straight to a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic Rider Course (BRC) immediately! Do NOT pass GO! What you need is in that course. I took the course in the Tampa, FL area and learned loads of good stuff from those two guys in spite of nearly 20 of riding experience. Get busy!

Also new member from Florida - Jacksonville.  Agree with taking an MSF or similar course.

Last I checked Florida accepts the MFS (and other approved course) certificates as "proof of knowledge" and will waive tests.  Walk into license office, show your certificate, and easily get your drivers license motorcycle endorsement.  Then call your insurance company - most offer various some discounts for completing an approved course.

There are several possibilities to adjust our LIKEs headlight.
From outside vertical. Inside by adjusting those holding screws to the headlights standart.

Well... damn.  Never noticed it before.  Cleaned cowling by hand when it was off - HOW did I not see that screw?!?

Thanks for the info.

Also thought stock lighting was weak, underwhelming.  Recently swapped out all the old bulbs for LED units.  Massive improvement in light output.  Haven't noticed issues with heat.

On the Like 200I, the headlight reflector and lens are fixed position (non-adjustable).  Changing bulb shouldn't have major effect on aim - output should fall/hit in same general position.  HOWEVER... there could be variation due to physical configuration of LED unit - shape and dimensions of body, placement/angle of LEDs.

I got lucky with new LED headlight.  Results may vary for others.

Recently pulled my 2017 200i into the garage for some routine maintenance.  While bodywork was off the front, I decided it was good time to address what always seemed like underwhelming lighting.  Started with new LED headlight unit...

MASSIVE difference in output - brighter, clearer.  Was worried about aim because lack of adjustments, but it worked out well.  Low beam seems to fall bit further forward - could be my imagination because old halogen was so much dimmer.  High beam is significant improvement - much longer reach and real attention grabber when flashed.

Far as I can tell heat doesn't seem an issue; external operating temp feels about same as old bulb.  Will be more precise once I find my infrared temp gun.  (Still unpacking from move.)

Also changed out marker, tail/brake, and turn bulbs.  Again, operating temps feel about same, but light output is far better.

HIGHLY recommend swapping old bulbs for LEDs.
