Yager GT 200i / Thanks everyone....
« on: May 10, 2013, 06:55:30 PM »
I wanted to thank everyone for your help on the forum!!
I sold the Yager today  :-\ :)
It is a great scooter and will miss it.
Still got the Service Manual for anyone who wants it.

Not scooterless though.... I went back to "Maxiscooters" with an instant collectible that I have been trying to get for years now.
It's a 2008 Yamaha Morphous (good price and less than 2000 miles). Just few thousand were sold in the US between 2006-2008.
It's low and long.... and super smooth.  8)

Yager GT 200i / Washer size for the Oil drain bolt?
« on: August 08, 2012, 01:21:54 AM »
Does someone know the size of the aluminum washer for the Oil Drain Bolt? (Kymco OEM Parts (E01 - Crank Case)
 9052A-GFY6-950     BOLT ASSY DRAIN PLUG)

There (for instance):
http://www.kymcoparts123.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=KYM#/Kymco_USA/SJ40AB_YAGER_GT_200i_(2009)/E01_-_Crank_Case/04%7c%7e50%7c%7e0005/04%7c%7e50%7c%7e0003

There is no washer listed for that bolt.

Any info would be great.
Thanks!

Yager GT 200i / Heavier Bar ends on Yager....
« on: August 05, 2012, 06:44:09 AM »
Since day one, I found that the Yager is quite light on the front end (maybe because I am used to heavier scooters).
I started noticing some wobbling after adding a topcase. I decided to install those Jettin Industries bar end weights I had left from another scooter.
After a lot of hand filing and shopping for metric screws, I got them on.

The front end is now MUCH more stable, precise and almost vibration free.

For info, the OEM bar ends are 195 and 220 gr. vs 495 gr each for the new ones.

Yager GT 200i / Oil filter cover's screws..... Warning!!
« on: August 02, 2012, 06:49:43 AM »
Warning....
While changing the oil filter, this is what happend when the cover screws were tighten at the requested torque (8.6 ft.lb)  >:(
I got super lucky as there was enough thread to unscrew it with a plier.

Changed them for some much stronger ones obviously.

Yager GT 200i / Givi topcase on SHAD plate...
« on: July 31, 2012, 07:27:02 AM »
I finally installed my Givi E45 Monokey topcase on the Yager.
Didn't like the look of the Givi rack so I got the SHAD (part# K0YG58ST) instead.
From this forum, I thought I would have to but actually no drilling was required; the fit was tight though.
Although, I wish the case could be slighty forward, it's actually not too bad.
This 45 liters case looks pretty big on the Yager but I need the space so.....

Yager GT 200i / New Yager....
« on: July 27, 2012, 06:25:49 AM »
Finally.... I picked up today a brand new 2010 Yager (and a special bonus for everyone here) ;D
Rode it 50 miles back home (all stop and go).
After owning scooters like SYM HD200, Vespa GTS 250, Yamaha Majesty and Yamaha TMax, I am pretty happy with the Yager.

Good stuff:
. Nice riding position and stability
. Smooth acceleration (still not broken in though)
 . Great front suspension
. Decent brakes (although them feel spongy compared to others)
 . Huge storage!!

Not so good:
. windshield (at least it doesn't redirect the wind in my face)
. seat (super hard and rough cover) but I will get used to it

Overall, it's a great mid-size scooter!!

Cheers!

Yager GT 200i / 12V Outlet?
« on: July 20, 2012, 08:49:21 AM »
Has anyone installed one?
On my other bikes, I usually use the Deltran Battery Tender ring terminal harness wired to the battery so I can charge the battery and also a female cigarette adapter for a phone/GPS.

What's the best place to install the 12V outlet on the Yager?
Thanks!

Yager GT 200i / New larger windscreen for Yager (by Kymco/Puig)
« on: July 15, 2012, 08:21:13 AM »
Apparently, Kymco now offers a larger windscreen for the Yager. It seems to be made by Puig.
See it there:
