LED DRL's
« on: July 29, 2019, 03:22:05 PM »
Waiting to turn out onto a busy urban blvd the other evening and to my left spotted a very bright set of lights coming down the street.
It turned out to be a large motorcycle sporting two small vertical bars of bright LED's placed low - with a pair of amber running lights and a center headlight. Thing looked like a train coming at me! No way not to notice it.

I really like how visible I am with the pair of bright LED running lights on my Piaggio. It was quite a selling point on the new scooter as Piaggio began the advertising for it 2 years ago. All the Euro video adverts featured the lights.
I've fitted a pair of very bright amber LED running lights on my Kymco LIKE.

Our Scion did not come with DRL's - so I fitted a set of Phillips LED light bars into the grill one afternoon. I can spot my wife's car coming from a long distance with those lights!
Snapped a pix when she passed me and my pup taking a walk at the reservoir this morning.

Don't know why the USA had DRLs in cars a few yrs ago, then stopped. Now some are back.
Dark colored cars in low light times are hard to see.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
