Title: Power at hills
Post by: StevieLike on April 07, 2015, 09:03:47 AM
Hey there!

When I ride a loong hill up, along with my gf, my LIKE 2t starts pretty well up the hill but then after about 10 mins it loses power noticeably (still ascending).

Is it the spark plug getting too hot?
Or too too lean at WOT?
Any idea?

Thanks :)

Nothing wrong, just the joy of riding a vehicle with 1.5hp. That bike is not really designed to go up a hill with two people for ten minutes.

Agree with BettinANDlosing. 1.5hp (or even 2hp if you are optimistic) isn't a lot to work with. Another issue could be that the belt is getting hot enough to start to stretch a bit.

I'm far from an expert but installing a stronger contra/torque spring might help.

Yeah that's true!
By the way I put a 0.2mm spacer ring in front of the bushing and that improved accelaration and overall power too now. Great scooter for 2 :)
